Yeah, I'll probobly end up at blue next year as well, I'm gonna give shawnee and bb/jf a go this year, but I really think I will get bored just riding park. So, 90% sure I'll be purchasing my season pass at blue next year.

Yeah, to my knowledge they aren't comping me, but my mom (who is the one who purchased the ticket is writing them to complain anyways). Thats what she is going for, I could really care less, as of right now they have lost my business for next year, as well as my friends at school, because we all ride together, possibly my siblings depending on what they do with my mom's complaint. This in and of itself isn't enough to make me switch to a different mountain, but its among a laundry list of items that CB could do better, and this year I've just had enough. So unless they do something to really impress me this year (which obviously isn't happening thus far) I'm going elsewhere next season.

How much did your setup end up costing?
-
Maybe you should ask him to join as a mountain rep.

He must have read it here, or someone else posted on the other board or somthing. I don't really participate in that OTHER board

Ok, a week back I went up to CB on a sat at 4. I have a sun-fri pass that is good all nights, which according to CB's website, pamphlets etc is 4pm to close every. Anyways, we were about to contact them, with a formal complaint, but I recieved this email. I guess its cool they followed up, but it still doens't do much to rememdy the situation for last week when I wasted an hours worth of time traveling and a half hour arguing with CB employees. Oh, well. I guess he had my aim sn and my email address from their message board, because he contacted me via both mediums

Their rails were elevated. Were you even there?

Hotel party son, gotta be pimpin the ladies, letin the crystal flow.

Yeah, I edited the above, I'm going to CB, fruedian slip, wish I was going to Blue, but I dont have the cash to pay for day tickets all the time there when I have a season pass at CB.
-
Yeah, the snow report for today said they were closed for bad weather. Everyone else was still reporting packed powder
-
I'm going first thing tommorow to CB, I'm hoping they open some more stuff, but I have a bad feeling they will leave the opening for sat.
-
Yeah, so there is alot more rain than I anticipated. So, kinda wondering how the mountains are gonna hold up. I guess its supposed to cool off rapidly tonight, so if there is snow left, the top layer is going to be a sheet of ice (before grooming anyways). Both web cams show there is still snow on the mountains though. We shall see tommorow how much is left though.

CB leaves the rakes in the woods, but I'm sure if a ranger saw you you could kiss your ticket goodbye. I was refereing to CB when I made the comment. Really the whole ranger program fosters a lousy mountains customer relationship. Most places the first aid is the same group who will clip your ticket, there job is to keep people safe, they are there to make a difference. At CB they are there to catch people doing stuff, the emphasis is shifted, and that kinda of position just begs for power hungry people to apply. And you're right most people are cool if you get to know them, but most rangers are not (with a few exceptions).

Thats awsome, I wish certain other ski areas would be even half that laid back in their rules, or maybe the enforcement.
-
Agreed, with enough balls anyone can bomb through a course, its all about technique in the turns.
-
Main st was indeed fun, but about halfway down, it was pretty bare. I had a lot of fun on it though
-
The jump is the only thing with a lip, everything else just has ride on transitions
-
The landing on the jump was plenty steep, but it could be longer, the box was slow, but it had a landing, didn't hit the mailbox, because I only went through the park twice today. The "rolloever" at the end was almost non-existant.

Maybe, I hug the left side through the whole trail generally. There are bumps on the left as well, but maybe not as bad.
-
I'm blue daba de daba di daba dd daba di daba de daba di
-
I don't know that many people (no one) that hates that trail. Just people who can't ski/ride it because its steep and gets nasty. Honestly its much harder on a bad day than any of the blacks, with the possbile exception of the the hump, but even that gives up after a few seconds. Pharoah at least keeps its pitch for a resonable amount of time.
-
Yeah, till we got it setup it was too dark for pics, tommorow assuming the rain doesn't kill our 1/4 of snow drop in I will get some pics of riding/rail.
-
Pharoah is probobly my favorite coarse at CB when its in decent condition. It does get really nasty though all the time. Even so, its a really good trail.

I just finished a rail, I've been planning/building for a few weeks. Rode it tonight for an hour or two. Required me to shovel the whole yard trying to collect the little bit of dust left on the grass, to make the run in. Rail is 2 1 inch pipes, about 8 feet long. Started out 10 feet but we used a pipe bender at both ends. The pipes just drop into wood cut with holes cut in them. It requires support underneath, because the pipes are electrical conduit, and not exactly the strongest stuff in the world. Total ended up being about 30, plus borrowed pipe bender. Thing slides nicely though.

I like the whole east side, aside from everyone getting pushed through the green (I think its Julius Caesar), that side of the mountain is less crowded, has better trails, and is longer. I'll spend usually 3 or 4 times more time over on the east then the west, when its open that is. I even park over, nothing beats parking 30 feet from the slopes and walking straight on, well maybe having walk on housing
