I can't spend $150 on a pair of snowboard pants. Just looking for something that looks good and can last more than 1 season looking good. I've got some 1 year old sessions that are falling apart at nearly every seam. I can sew and can easily squeeze another season out of them, but I'd like to get something I don't have to spend as much time keep together. I like baggy fits, and I think I want to go with mellow earth tones for the pants.

Did that weird picnic table thing turn out some cool tricks? It seems like it would either be great or the worst feature there.
-
The lip for the first jib looks crappy, but everything else looks pretty nice. Not great, but it looks fun, well built and not as dangerous as it used to be. TT, I honestly can't see what your complaint is other than the kids that will inevitably be in the landings without a park pass.

Nick you weren't going to go to blue anyways. Even if that had keystones park.
-
I haven't ever worked in a park but it's my understanding you can fix a bomb hole without grooming and hours to let it set. Fill it in and reopen immediately all the crap you just but it gets knocked out or compacted. Better made features and less traffic are the only two cures.

Don't you tune constantly anyways? It's not going to help you.

I'm not sure I'm mexican enough to ride that board.
-
Nick until you get a table, it's just the open space when you walk in the front door. When we talked on FB I didn't even realize what board it was. Now I definitely want to give it a try.

JJ who rides for burton is a handrail king. JJ who rides for rossignal is a big mountain king.

It was just fine. I went climbing indoors and planned a whitewater trip to Utah.

No hop turns. Heather from big boulder is a JFBB rep.

A good deal on a bad board isn't a good deal at all. Glad you're happy though. Also army navy is hardly the local store.

That's fantastic.

If you show up at my resort on a non-powder day with big powder boards I will point and laugh and call you a gaper. I even live "out west" and mostly ride "pow stashes". You ride a big powder board in PA and you are either smoking crack or you need to move. Zaldon I'm talking to you.

I just bought last years Nitro Misfit for under $200 from evo gear. So I've got... Nitro Misfit '55 Nitro Pantera '59 Frankenstein bindings Salomon Synapse boots.

I need an all mountain true twin, on the stiff side but not a 2x4 board. I also need it cheap. Anyone seeing anything interesting online?

I've got some pow's which I think were specifically made to knock off hestra. I like them, and I can afford them, unlike hestra. If I had more money I would buy hestra. All that being said, I think glove fit is going to be important. You are going to want to try these guys on before you buy. Not sure who caries hestra at all. I've only seen them online and on the hill.

I've taught 2 girlfriends how to snowboard and several other friends. I've had good luck but I'm heavy on the patience and the positive reinforcement. I've also taught my current girlfriend how to whitewater kayak, which is about WAY more likely to blow up in your face. Again, I had good luck, and she has progressed faster than anyone I know. That being said, I'm pretty hands off with the teaching now, it's just us floating down the river together. All that being said, I don't think I have the patience to teach anyone I'm close with how to snowboard anymore. I'm also not patient enough to teach anyone from scratch to class IV whitewater anymore. It's just too much time not doing to the stuff I want. I'm happy to spend a day with someone showing them tips, or how to improve, but the SO scenario is a long term time investment.

Those avalung devices don't have any record of saftey or effectiveness. I think it would be pretty hard to keep it in your mouth without a full face. Just my opinion of course. Video is crazy. I'd like to hear more about the whole scenario. If you read he bails on his big ski cut. You can see the avalache broke right as he crests the pillow. Super classic slide propogation sight. Wish they had edited in the other helmet cams in the group.

I haven't seen the movie. I don't know what the Narration is like. If he opens it up "Hi, this is Warren Miller" uses his trademark lines "It will be one more year until you do" or the like, basically anything he's done for the WME organization including when he was calling the shots he could be in violation of copyright. I'm no expert, but I think thats what's at stake here. Warren Miller gave up his name, so it goes beyond just the marketing aspect. When he signed away the company, everyone WM included thought he was retired.

Nearly any western resort will have some option for a (paid) shuttle to the local accomodations and a free shuttle to the mountain. With limited openings I don't see it as a great option though for the money. My opinion is you should get ahold of TTC6 and see if he would want to split costs and do a trip to NY or VT. Someone will open up early and he's game for that sort of thing.

Warren Miller the man made movies. In the process he made a company called Warren Miller Entertainment. Then he stopped doing the narration of said movies, and just collected money. Then he sold rights on his name to the company and removed himself altogether from the business. Now he has decided to narrate a Level 1 film which it seems may be in breech of contract and/or non-compete. I'm guessing it's all more complicated than is immediately obvious. Clearly the man should have the option to speak on a film assuming he is not bound by a non-compete. However, the marketing involved with his name is probably really bizarre. I'm guessing it's a lot like the whole Prince, artist formally known as prince deal.

Johnny shoot me a PM when you get to aspen. I'd like to spend some time there.
