  1. I'll be there. Mostly just watching, but I'll try to slide some rails a little.

    snow at ELK

What are you talking about. Boulder has the longest season for several years now. Fairly certain it has a higher elevation as well. Take it back, Elk has more elevation.
  3. It's all good, as long as there was a legit excuse. Stoked you guys got to slide some jibs.
  4. Ollie, also my favorite and best trick.
  5. In BC-Marks post he mentioned that the instructors would have a different benefit package than other BC employees. The paper you received is more than likely the appropriate benefit package.
  6. Don't be a tease. If you know something fill us in, or keep quiet.
  7. From the patrollers I've talked to in CO, their job is far more about logistics of the ski area. Maintaining signage, throwing bombs, trail openings/closures. Honestly there aren't nearly as many people hurt as the EC resorts. Also crowd control is SO much more important on the EC. The cowboy end of the job is definitely working at a big resort in the west, but picking an overcrowded icy PA resort isn't a bad look either for action. I give those guys just as much respect, even if the logistics of the job aren't as tough.
  8. Thanks BC-Mark, nothing applies to me, but that kind of information especially regarding employee benefits is super helpful!
  9. I wouldn't mind pushing around 7" of snow right about now.
  10. All this theoretical talk is nice, but... If the boards aren't heavier, and they weren't breaking, then there isn't a problem. If the feel is better because it's a more consistent flex (or really any reason), then who cares what kind of engineer hoops they jumped through or not. In the end, it's about what works and what you like under your feet. I've got to assume since they are putting ICS on more boards, and on their top boards, it worked for burton and those testing for burton. I think what is more insane about this conversation is that somehow there is more power transferred to the board because you are on it. Tall bindings send more energy with less movement; look at racing gear, and restrictions on racing gear. There is a reason they only allow bindings to be so tall, and every single racer skis that max height. You can certainly get a more preferential feel lower to the board, and most jibbers like that since keeping the board flat is desirable. I'd like to add that I hate all of you for getting new gear, and I will be riding crappy broken 4+ year old gear this year. Maybe I'll spring for a pair of boots, but thats a big maybe. Have fun with the new toys guys!
  11. How does everyone have 09 gear for sale?

    Goggles?

Yeah just saying squinting at the light.

    Goggles?

If you are all squinty going down the hill, you need better goggles. If your eyes are comfortable, you are good to go.
  14. I've gotten by with mediocre bindings for years. I'd much rather have a decent board. That being said, solid bindings hold up to a abuse a little better. I wouldn't replace bindings unless they are falling apart though.

Good work. Thanks for the stoke.
  16. Higher person density on the rope for quad fixed vs. quad detachable. I think it's agreed upon the uphill capacity of fixed vs. detach is about the same.
  17. Frost in the poconos and lehigh valley last night.
  18. He already changed it. It had an over sized picture of his jacket.
  19. Jeff, get rid of that ridiculous signature. Greg, get on the snow.
