Something must be wrong with this site that this TR is on the second page and I am the first to respond. Good stuff, but is that an avalung in the second cruxifiction pic?

Tailgaters are the worst, but they just slightly edge out the guys who camp in the left lane. For some reason all the eastern states are too lazy to put up "Keep Right Except to Pass" signs. P.S. When I flash my high beams behind you, I'm not pissed. I just want you to pull into the right lane so I can pass. I can control my car, and my temper, thats why I'm signaling with headlights not tailgating.

Hmm, now this is a proper PA trip report.

I hope your not paying alot.

Why not just PM the number? Responsible mods should delete this in 2 days.

So Total Noob (BTW you need to change your name) what did you think of your season at shawnee and did you travel elsewhere much?
-
Really sorry to hear it's someone you were friends with. Vibes++

Unless the dad was a goober referring to his son (who wasn't) who could make it down double diamonds. For the most part I agree with what you are saying though.

Just got off the phone with my mom. She was saying Asp got closed down today because there appeared to be a serious accident. Reall sad stuff, especially for the survivors. Sounded like the skier/rider was alone and was found by a good samaritan. Be careful out there.

None of the people I"ve talked to with a preferance for freeriding preferred Breck over A-Basin. In fact most say it sucks really bad unless you want to ride park all day. I have no clue what to expect as far as Copper is concerned.

Why not just let him heal? He's young, it will heal fast and he has plenty of time to make a name for himself. It's not like this year is crucial. I wouldn't want a punctured lung regardless of recovery time. Hey, TTC6, huge text is lame. If you want to yell, you can just post all caps, we get it. The large text just makes you look like an interweb gaper.
-
He was gapping the whole pipe, or just gapping the deck on one side?
-
It's lousy. PS hasn't and Ski is a dosh. TTC6 sends too many PM's and Jordan listens to lousy musics.
-
Whoa really? This calls for a shower.

But isn't doing the things you really enjoy what living your life is all about. As someone who skis powder and trees I would think it would be easier as a parent. It's probably because your spending too much time on that epic ski site. Besides from my observations you're still charging hard.
-
... at least she's wearing a helmet. Besides aren't you a tree's/pow skiier yourself?
-
Not here, I know a handful of kids who all ride together that use it, other than that no one.

Hey thanks for responding to my post without reading the whole thread. I was referring to high elevation in CO not Whistler. Further I've been pushing for SK to go to CO not Whistler.
-
You lost me as soon as you called yourself a ripper and not because I think you don't rip.

Whistlers base area is almost at sea level. I'm not sure what other western resorts you've been to, but altitude is for real. I'm aclimated and in pretty good shape, and if I spend a lot of time hiking 2 thousand or more feet higher than where I sleep at I breathe much heavier than I would otherwise. When Shadows got here he claimed he wasn't having any problem with the altitude. We rode/hiked some of the same terrain about a week ago and he noticed how much easier it was because he was aclimated. You WILL notice the difference if you are drinking at altitude.

a question for those that ski/board in rainy weather
Glenn replied to putbadstuffhere13's topic in Blue Mountain
There is nothing cool about running around in the rain wearing ski gear. -
Not that this should be a deal breaker, but unless you spend a week or more out here, you will not be aclimated (sp?), which means you will get winded faster, drunk faster and if you get altitude sickness bad, then a headache. Most people who drink lots of water can avoid the headache part.

Intrawest, if you are reading this, feel free to give me a bonus

So based on that I would suggest Steamboat. Did I mention they have lodges at the hot springs?
