Well... we are all hoping for the best. Out of curiosity.... not that it will happen because the judge will of course see how rediculous this all is but.... if the sale doesn't happen, where would you get your season passes?

I'll probobly catch some flack for this but.... CB's park crew is worthless. They claim that managment sandbags them with setups, but they really do nothing to help the situation. As papa mentioned they typically sit in the trees right next the to the flat down box, and laugh at people. They could just as easily stand on top of one of the jumps with two ski poles and spot the landings... or attempt to enforce drop rules by standing where everyone drops from or any number of other things to improve park ettiquette. Each mountain has different organization and different amounts of work for park crews. I'm not going to say that Blue mountain park crew is lazy, because quite frankly the only time I've ever seen them is while they are fixing features. I don't see them on every run, so maybe they are hiding elsewhere, but I haven't seen them heckling patrons, or sitting in the woods too stoned to be productive. What I will say is, in general park crews could probobly do more and make efforts to help enforce park manners rather than saying it's someone elses problem.... ESPECIALLY when park crew knows more about how a park should operate than any other mountain organization (patrol, ranger etc). On the other hand, I have to agree crowd control should not be a customer affair. Spotting is different than attempting to herd people.

How about park crews enforcing this kind of stuff. Hanging out on landings, and not calling drops just shouldn't happen. They are as important if not more so than not racing through beginner areas, and not yielding to downhill skiers. Spotting landings first time through, trying to go too big etc, is all about personal discretion anyways. I doubt that anyone really changed their mind about how big to go after reading an easy style sign. That part can be done away with. Make the pertinant stuff part of the skier responsibility code, and start enforcing it. Also... if we are trying to change the the responsibility code: snowboarders don't need leashes, most leashes cannot be worn while hiking, and bindings simply don't come off of snowboards nor to boots seperate from bindings.

Sucks when someone does something stupid in the park!

... and the picture you painted with the organization left the room for skill development (for the park guys) non-existant. In the end racing is making turns, which can be done anywhere on the mountain, the basic skillset for racing can be developed anywhere on the mountain FOR FREE. Park riding will fall on it's face if it were to ever become restricted at the same level as a race course. I'm not saying the race ideology is better, if fact I think it really sucks there aren't free public courses and I would jump on that bandwagon any day. The biggest thing that keeps me from running gates is money. What I am saying is that racing can exist in that style of organization, park riding cannot, at least not at the skill level we are currently seeing. Money is what the park is all about. People don't go to various mountain because of how great there (non-publicly available) race course is. People do choose to visit mountains based on their publically available parks. You think people haven't made the move to make money from the park... they are. The money is in the form of skier/rider visits. In my opinion a private park doesn't make sense any way you look at it. -

Nope, park riding is a closer relative to bump sking. While running gates utilzes skills learned from free riding and merely pushes those skills to the limit, both park and bump skiing use a largely different skill set. -
What was the deal with the elevator?

Well, I think with enough money, you could easily turn any mountain into the best park in PA. I don't expect that to happen with CB this coming year. On the other hand I think their system is the best. The idea is to provide proper education on what to do in the park, simple enough. Charging $5 doesn't do that. There will be no end to the arguments over whether or not the park pass is a good idea. I think CB's plan works nicely. Only one park requires the pass, and the pass is free, only basic park training/ettiquete is need to aquire the pass. I hope they have some system to make it easy for the season pass holders.

... and how old did you say they were? Seriously though, beautiful pictures. That goat is pretty neat. I like hiking around pa, but obviously it has nothing on what you are doing. Too cool.

Agreed 2nd edit was better minus the sound. Seems like better angles of alot of the shots. Although the bowl skiing was clearely better in the 1st edit. Thanks for sharing guys!
-
Hah, I wasn't poking fun. It's hard to get an idea of how big things are on film. When you are standing there, or dropping something it's totally different than seeing it on film. No need to go bigger, it was cool as is. Props!

Agreed, the new half pipe should be a good time. Having two will hopefully keep the conditions in both pipes a little nicer, and maybe they will cut them with a little better regularity. Although.... the halfpipe announcment was made a couple of weeks back.

I'm fairly certain it's not the same c-box, but I could be wrong. The lipslide box is gonna be fun... maybe not the most challanging thing ever, but it's gonna be a blast. Probobly just because you're a skier Up down sounds like a good time... we shall see how it turns out.
-
Me too... I'd love to hear they are installing 3 40' down rails at varying pitches, with at least one setup streetstyle. *hint hint* CB....
-
... so I'm not sure why it's called a lipslide box, but it looks like TONS of fun. Thanks for posting the update lib.

2nd video didn't load. First video was cool. The bowl skiing was my favorite. How far do you think the drop was off the cornice?
-
So wait... paskiandride.com hosts adult videos now...

College prices are now posted. It's $249 this year, $50 more than last year. It sucks the price went up, but it's still a bargain.

Hmm... phpBB, IPB, vBulletin, there are a few other "brands" targeted as well. Pretty slick stuff. They failed to properly leave a URL in the profile on this site, unless one of the other mods already cleaned it up. Classic thread anyways.

Just got a generic response to the email

And here is an interesting fact, "Olga" accessed our site through with a Italian IP address. 539... sounds automated. Are they all IPB boards?

He was appointed by the Dem party I believe. From what I've gathered there is nothing publically known that is driving him, aside from the fact that he's a huge doucher.

Out-of bounds sking/riding.
-
... welp I guess that sums it up!

Probobly because of attitudes like that. You don't want the ladies around.... I mean if you like dudes thats cool, but... I'm trying to have some more ladies around, ALWAYS!
