There are definately times I wish I got the '59, but I'm not really a big guy and most of the time with how stiff it is the 54 is plenty big. And yes, it can definately rip

I went today, man was I pissed. An extra fun fact for those of you claiming "saftey" as the reason they weren't there.... The season pass office wasn't open. They wanted to save money bottom line. Tomorrow they will have tons of weekend skiers that would otherwise complain about how beat up the trails are from todays warm spell. I'm with pyro, I want to ride wherever whenever on whatever. Yes I did want to ride today. Yes I want to ride early in the season, yes I want to ride late in the season. Yes I want to ride in the rain, the extreme cold or whatever else will keep the lift lines short. I'm a fiend for snow (no not coke) and it seems I may have to start selling "hot" tv's so I can go else where. Man I thought from here till spring I would have a steady supply from cb, but no.... I said it when they decided to open a week later than projected, and I'll say it again.... Thanks a ton CB for making it a great year!

If its top sheet no worries. If it's down to the core, throw some epoxy in there. If it effects the edge it gets a little more complicated. I think Lurker is considering an edge replacement and may have some links bookmarked.

Bragging about how fast you can go on a green is like bragging about beating up little kids, maybe a little less messed up though. That being said.... Nile is a better natural race course. There is 4 significant turns and a cool little drop at the end.

I have to agree. I think there wouldn't be such an issue, but the park simply was not designed for that amount of people. I have no problems midweek when no one is there. You drop 200 people into the park at the same time, with no drops ins, and it gets ugly. People sitting/standing everywhere. Features are staggerd, it follows the people sitting/standing are staggerd. It's just a huge mess. From what I hear the park crew designs the park, sets it up, then management rolls through and tells them how to fix it. Maybe the park crew should just have more realistic designs. Smaller features, and force options, either jump or hit the jib, not both. Oh, well, on the weedays I can make full runs in the park without even seeing anyone else

wanted: anyone who wants to carve this weekend

No one is gonna arrest you for taking a run with some kids. They are good skiers and dig on riding with just about anyone. I'm 21 if it makes you feel any better. -

... I'm pretty sure a few of our members were on the snow before you were born, me too for that matter. -

Yeah I'm up for some runs. I'll be wearing a grey jacket black pants and a grey helmet with some pasr stickers. My name is Glenn. -
awesome night... sketchiness at Sheetz...

Yeah but you dig on ICP, can we really trust your judgement I've had lots of stuff from both. I think Sheetz has better local brands in their convenience store, but wawa subs can't be beat. -
Decent instructors? (and a binding problem)

Hahaha, are you serious? I'll be down for runs though if you roll through. I'll be wearing a grey jacket black pants and a grey helmet with some pasr stickers. My name is Glenn, I'll be looking for you!

Wawa > sheetz. Meatball hoag = amazing. -
Spent all day there today. The park got packed down by the end of the day. They need to groom, but most of the mountain wasn't "choppy" at closing. The exception of coarse is maries. I can't imagine the wouldn't groom everything. I'll be there on sunday again. Best opening day I could have asked for. I'm not sure it was worth the wait, but it's certainly something to brag about... "8+ inches first day of the season"

Either their marketing department sucks and isn't pointing out key features of the product or I need to get into the video analysis software field. 3k for that piece of software is outrageous. I don't think it's worth more than $200 and thats being generous. I can do most of the stuff they did with free software, though it would be a little less efficient. Effiecency doesn't cost 3k.

I'm definately going to be there from opening till whenever I am too beat to ride, or just get plain bored. Sounds like there will be a decent sized PASR crew there though.

Err, I'd love to hear your reports. Not sure who you think gets bent out of shape?!?!

I have salomon's right now and love them. I have matching salomon boots which makes it a no brainer. My first setup had salomon bindings so I kind of just bought salomon stuff. I've ridden other brands and definately like my binding more. Without riding them you don't realize how useful the toestrap design is. I wouldn't say they are better than the top burton line, but I would say they could hold their own. My older pair has lasted well over 120 days, but the plastic clicker system is starting to go. The newer models come with metal clickers so presumabely it will last even longer. If we get to ride sometime I'll let you take a couple runs in them.

Just picked up some salomon sp3 bindings for $75 including shipping on ebay. It's a slight up grade from what I have now. Not the binding I really wanted, but I simply didn't have the budget for the spx pro's which haven't really hit ebay yet. The pro's don't provide any additional "features" but they are a bit more padded, and have a better visual design. The sp3's will do for now. Between the cheaper model and not haveing to pay full store prices I easily saved $200. Although if I paid store prices for the cheaper model in stores it would have been more like a $40 - $50 savings. My brother bought the same bindings a few months back at an online store and paid $90.

I'm not saying the base area shouldn't have some precidence in snow making, but it's simply not neccessary especially with only a few trails open.
-
The base area doesn't need to be open for the mountain to operate. It's a convenience, but not essential to riding the trails. If hunter can open open the mountain without snow all the way to the bottom CB can certainly open without a base area. Most people walk up to the park lift anyways because its up hill.

The only people I know that are interested in them are interested for that reason. I don't know anyone who owns a pair or I would have tried them myself by now. It doesn't take much for me to lose circulation in my feet so the better distributed the pressure is the better.
