Advertisement billboard right in the middle of meadows.... Could be a wall ride. I wouldn't be surprised if its a warning sign for the park. Wouldn't be surprised if it's just advertisment space either.

I think we need to put together a video learning area, starting with a wax demonstration. We certainly have enough competent people it shouldn't be too hard to do. I'll try and film Zaldon, and if the "masters" don't feel its up to par for learning purposes, I will try and film someone else when conveninent

I'm going to go ahead and say gear depends on riding style. If you were a park rider, the wider board is definately the key. If you spend more time free riding then the plates may be the way to, especially here in the east. A mogul skier doesn't want racing gear, both are "better" at what they were intended to do. Biggest crock... this is PROVEN techonlogy when it comes to creating better angles, which means better carving. I've heard lots of people claim they are too responsive when it comes to rails, which I wouldn't pretend to dispute. Risers do HELP with toe/heel drag. I would think in some cases it could eliminate toe/heel drag in others it wouldn't. Saying they are the end all solution is wrong. So is refusing to give the products its proper credit.

... and let all the weekend warriors ruin the atmosphere and conditions?

I think the sage is just in the base. I doubt that would cause a huge difference in the perfmance of the ski. I could easily be wrong, but I just don't see how a little bit of plant is a huge deal when its in the base. If it was the core of the board maybe that would be a different story.

But if your at montage you have some amazing blacks. Being "stuck" at montage isn't so bad now is it...

I doubt anyone besides managment knows that. If they won't reveal the answer on their own message board they have either given up on the mb, or they don't want to release that info yet.

Now, now. DH has his place, things wouldn't be the same without him. The claims to ignorance are unfounded. He certainly is sarcastic, a bit of a wise ass, and often intolerant. However, for the most part he knows what he's talking about. If anything his opinions get in the way of his knowledge, but ignorant bastard.... come on now thats a bit extreme.

WM highlights both the sking/snowboarding, and the lifestyle of many of the skiers/riders. It's certainly not reality tv, but its far more than just footage of sking/riding. ... don't you have a website highlighting you and your friends riding? Don't you include lots of non-riding info on the site just to provide some level of personality to the "team" or whatever it is. They may not make money on this venture, no one may end up liking it in the long run. Who cares man, it will be a blast to make, and if other people dig it, even better.

... it worked for Warren Miller.

Lots, but they are still cool. It would be neat for someone to really put together a quality piece on east coast sking/riding.

I'm used to him decked out in red and black with atomic's somewhere nearby. Seeing him in a t-shirt and shorts... especially after we thought he wasn't coming threw me off guard. I'm not sure what everyone elses excuse is.

I'm using firefox. I'll keep playing around, if you tested it must be something no my end.

You can hope for random hookups...

Is there some special piece of software to run you videos? They play in quicktime but there is no audio or video, just the progress bar moves. All my quicktime components are updated...

Now all they need is a pipe.

Camelback, it's the only feature in the park they let you hit during lessons (at CB that is). They make you sign an additional waiver.
-
Is that out dated? Did they really get that much snow in maryland this early? If so thats awsome.
-
Ironic coming from someone who detunes their board. Risers are proven technology. There's no gimmick at all. Although, they certainly weren't designed to help out the park riders.

My opinion on the matter... (as if anyone cares) Hunter early in the season is crowded. With only 2 real trails open, and a bunny hill, there isn't anywhere you can dodge the crowd. I spent a day early in the season last year and had a blast. Hellgate IMO wasn't that hard, and I'm a lousy snowboarder who only gets a few days on bumps a year. Maybe the bumps handn't developed enough?!?!? I can't attest to bellyare's early season crowd as the only day I spent there was in spring. It was a cool mountain. Biggest problem is no high speed lifts. As I mentioned before Hunter feels like a bigger mountain. All the steep stuff is at the top. At least at Hunter hellgate spans the whole mountain. If you don't mind sharing a headwall, go to hunter. If you can't stand laps on a fixed grip lift go to hunter. If I can time up a trip with others on the site I will likely go to bellarye, otherwise I will end up going to hunter with friends from school. I personally liked bellyare better, but I had a blast at both mountains.

Picture would be great.

Moved to classifieds... If the googles are full sized I'll take them. Not sure if the figament is a jr size. Paypal work for you?

Why were you sore? What was so lucky about the skiers? Anyone have pics of the sking/riding?

The 40 should be a center piece. Instead its beat to death and buried in the snow. What a waste. I didn't expect CB to wow me, but 2 new rails isn't that many. We'll see...
