  1. Reading through this thread again I think I better understand the technical specifics that are going on. If there is indeed an industry standard of giving tech specs of skis at a specific length and all the ski's in that line are recognized by those specs (even if the specific specs are different), then he's not to blame. I don't think he was playing high and mighty at all by telling you how many skis he sells, I think he was just showing that you may not be privy to all the information that you are. In this case the fact that there is certain talk that is commonly accepted when referring to ski specs. The fact that you are just now concerning yourself with specific specs, and simultaneously having issues with specs is your first clue, that its you not him. Just like on tv you will see a fully equipped car in the commercial, but when they give you the price, its for the base model. Everyone knows thats what is going on, but imagine, the shock if you didn't, you get to the dealership, and the car that costs what was advertised doesn't have the cd player, sun roof, a bizzilion horse power, and some horses in the trailer its supposed to be able to pull. I don't mean to bust your balls but it really seems like he did nothing wrong. He doesn't want them back, but at the same time, he's really not wanting to spend a whole lot of money on your misunderstanding.
  2. I don't know man. We don't want people hocking junk on here. I think its best left skis are personal, and Gurp doesn't like them.
  3. I don't really know any of the technical stuff going on in this thread, but it really seems like the guy made an honest mistake. If he is doing a lot of business thats understandable. If it is really an issue, send the item back. No doubt a pair of socks isn't going to rectify the situation, but reeming him out might not be the best either. Especially if he got the info from the Rossi website. I understand its an inconvenience for you, but I don't think he was trying to scam you. Trust is a big thing in ebay, but so is cooperation. You can't expect every transaction to be smooth, and when something goes wrong, in my opinion its how the situation is rectified that effects my rating of the person rather than the actual "problem." You didn't seem very interested it rectifying the situation, but rather letting the guy know he messed up big, and he will not receive any more of your business. IMHO
  4. The boarder cross park is right next to the nastar run, they both use the same lift. However, if your going to put a tarp over something, might as well use the widest trail available, aka the ones next to the quad.
  5. Neither, it for PASR EDIT: Oops, sorry for BC
  6. Hopefully they will be available next winter. One of the summer projects we are "getting around" to.

Again read above. The jam would not be IN the rink, but rather use the shavings from the rink that they just discard.

  11. Sounds like a bit of a cop out. I don't think the rain is supposed to hit until saturday. I think they just had to much snow melt, and when they pushed the snow around they realized it.
  12. Yeah definate no go for me, have plans now. For those who do go, enjoy and good luck!
  13. Glad you enjoy the site. I think what Greg was referring to was that we would like to do even more, but as of right now, money is our biggest constraint. Also I'd like to say, its YOU the members of the site that really make it worth while. YOU provide the content, YOU are the community, YOU are what is really great. We just try to provide the best place for YOU to shine!

Yeah, I heard there were flurries early this morning on campus... not that I was awake for it. I really hate this weather when I can't enjoy it. Snow is only beautiful when I can ride it. The season is over for me, bring on the warm weather and the scantily clothed women.
  17. My room mate might be there. If I'm not doing anything I may head up that way. My roomates name is mike, he will be riding a K2 WWW. Feel free to yell at him durning his run, or drill him with snowballs.

Interesting side note. I think Dranow put out a rock album in 1994, with the group "Gary Dranow and the manic emotions". I'm pretty sure its the same guy as the band is out of Park City, Utah. Not exactly the stuff I'm into but maybe some other people here might dig on it. Here's the bands website http://www.musicianmp3.com/artist/GaryDran...eManicEmotions/

Ok, let me get this right. Masters is NOT what the pro racers (Bode, Maier etc are racing. Masters is simply where all the guys who raced in high school go to compete at competitive level? You are going on to say that that Drawnow was getting beat by 10 seconds by these guys? I understand the nature of NASTAR (in reference to the mini golf statement), but if there was a national mini golf championship I would hope the guy doing clinics (and presumably winning or coming close to the top) could at least hold his own on a real putting green. Then again I don't know that much about golf either, so maybe I'm way off on that one. Is it at least fair to say his technique is helpful for people at NASTAR level racing or is better to learn rather than whatever other technique is currently being used as the "standard" for higher level racing. In other words, does his technique have any advantage for the recreational racer over a more traditional technique. Or is that what everyone is debating?

I'm no expert. I really know little about skiing technique and even less about racing, but it seems at least plausible that he has developed a solid technique, yet lacks the experience needed to make it super effective on a real GS or SL coarse. In other words, hes found something that works, but doesn't have the skill to execute for any number of reasons. Then again maybe he sucks at life, don't really know. Maybe its the best technique for a NASTAR type coarse for whatever reason. Did he ever have a legitimate racing career or has it always been NASTAR?

    Props to ARAMADA

Lets cool it eh? We don't need to get into a pissing match. If you have "unfinished business" please deal with that privately. The board isn't a war zone, so lets keep it peaceful ok?
