Purchase half the skis he does and you might see some deals coming your way.

Eh, just go, your a good rider. You might not win, but hell it would be a lot of fun, and you never know...
-
Well... it says record breaking snowfall this time of year, it fails to mention how well the base is. It could be good, it may not be. Tough to say.

Looks like he was right afterall.

Since the lifts aren't on I don't think they can get your for theft of services. It becomes just a simple trespassing thing. In which case I think they will just yell at you to leave, but maybe I'm wrong.

Wanna give us a price range?

I guess you missed my sarcasm!
-
Also, whats the projected opening date for this coming season?
-
Fair enough, I guess I was ignorant of their opinion.
-
Certainly, and I hope you would express your opinion at all times. Which is why I'm confused on why the criticism comes now, after there has been so much talk of him on this board, and really nothing was negative until very recently. Maybe I was ignorant to subtle remarks made about him, but quite frankly I was surprised when a thread was started a few weeks back criticizing him. I was under the impression everyone loved him.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think I agree with most people that he is a lousy role model, and the fact that he shows off his apathy towards his career with his partying is equally lousy. I claim ignorance, I honestly don't know much about the guy, so reason one why I didn't say anything all season. Reason two is I'm don't want to be "that guy" on the internet talking a big game, but can't back it up. As far as not being a good racer, but just "overcoming the odds." Yeah thats lame. I'd rather people with skills win it, just like I'd rather see someone cleanly pull a 3 than huck a 9.

So to get things back on track here's what I don't understand. All season long, people on the board have been posting news results of bode winning. Generally a positive attitude towards bode whenever he is brought up. Plenty of people come to his defense in the bode vs. tanner thing (though we won't be going into that in this thread while I'm still around). However, now that the season is over, bode has his WC trophy, all this negative talk about how he is a horrible man (or role model, whatever you wish), how he isn't a good skier, how he flaunts his recklessness. Where were all these comments earlier in the season. Is this just typical hes on top so hes in the spotlight lets attack him now? I would hope not, he's been in the spotlight all year. Is he considering switching to a another ski sponsorship and no longer cool with the atomic crew on the board? I'm not trying to call anyone out, but at the same time it seems odd, that everyone lets him go all season without even one disparaging remark (feel free to prove me wrong on this) about his partying, and to some extent glorifies his "bad guy" persona, and moreover cheers him on in races, but once he has won it big, the criticism comes on. Just trying to understand whats going through everyones heads. Maybe the opportunity never came up to lay into him, but if you run a search there are plenty of results when you search bode, so I'm not sure I buy that.

Yes, and I really don't think there is anything new to say about that. If you want to comment Bode go ahead, but if this is going to turn into race vs. freestyle I'll lock this thread so fast it will make your head spin.

Actually he didn't mention Bear Creek at all. He said BB/JF and Blue. Pay attention! Yeah welcome to the site. Hopefully you will be as useful to us as we are to you

I really dig my solamon bindings. You should at least them out. The coolest thing about the solomans is the toe strap never fully detaches... meaning you don't have to fool around trying to fish it into the buckle everytime you strap in. Not really a huge perfomance thing, but its a really nice convenience. If you have soloman boots also, then the fit is amazing. I guess they go to bizarre lengths to make their boots fit their bindings really well. The guy in the shop put a boot and binding together and never strapped them, and he could turn them upside down and shake and the boot didnt fall out. Anyways, just give them a try.

It's a private hill for the residents of his community. I don't think the management cares.

I tried to tell you Greg, this emoticon was a bad idea, but NOOOOO everyone thought it was SOOOOO cute. Now were stuck with obsessive skiers with no snow posting about the technique of a 96 x 96 px animation.

I'd give them a call or write a letter before they forget about your accident and refuse to the free lesson.
-
Did the mountain give you a voucher for a free lesson? Sounds like you didn't get yours.

Contgrats on the One million. How far do you plan on going by the end of the year?
-
I haven't heard of any toe drag problems. Usually toe drag happnes on the bottom of the boot, and these are towards the top. Most of the models with them have a decent sized gas pedal anyways so toe drag shouldn't be a huge deal.

Don't know how they hold up, but everyone I talked to had to say the same thing... as if they were brainwashed. "They are so great, the response is amazing. Yout think, how much different can it be, but when you ride them its just like wow. You think and it responds."

jomamma Sorry, I couldn't resist
