  1. I hardly ever go barefoot, even in the house. My husband always manages to step on my toes, and all he ever wears is boots.
  2. You mean Sidewinder? Switchback was open last year. Best trail on the mountain.
  3. Hiked to TCS couple times last year, midweek and quad wasn’t running. Totally worth it.
  4. I think most of us went through a stage like that in our lives. And Barb, I’d stay far away from any resort on a holiday weekend
  5. Have fun everybody! I’m holding out for midweek.
  6. I’m getting old?? Give me a break with that. What are you, about 40?
  7. I wasn’t there today. Sure it wasn’t any of our crew, I would have heard.
  8. Might not have been a skiing accident.
  9. If I had that much money to waste sure as hell wouldn’t waste it on that.
  10. After last weekend I’ll pass until more trails are open
  11. I don’t like skiing the trail after they’re done with it.
  12. Skied today from 11-3, then nice parking lot session. Snow was nice, just a little sugary at the bottom. Main Street and TCS were runs of the day. So nice to lose the crowds that have been present since they opened. Hope every Ikon pass holder in a 300 mile radius has used all their passes at Blue.
  13. Probably the best day of the season so far. No crowds, ski right on the lift, nice snow.
  14. Holy crap. Still have power here, I am starting to worry about the 2 huge oak trees next to our house. They’re healthy, but I’m not sure how much more ground soaking they can take. Not sure what’s happening on the roads- we’re not going anywhere.
  15. That really sucks. It really makes you not take your health for granted. Didn’t I read Papa Steeze died?
  16. Sorry to hear that. Any residual problems? And in your brain stem, that must have been scary as hell.
  17. What was wrong that you wanted the nurses to kill your?
  18. Suspected neck injury, head injury, long bone fracture , multiple rib fractures or abdominal trauma goes to a trauma center. Why would you want to go from an outlying hospital, then get transferred to a trauma center? Not all hospitals can handle life threatening traumas immediately.
  19. Probably have them wrapped up pretty good to keep them warm. First thing you do for traumas.
  20. I’ve thought about that, as well. Only problem is where would you go locally?
  21. I did mention in my survey the amount of out of control skiers and boarders this year.
  22. No we were out by 4.
  23. Ugh I wonder what happened and when. I didn’t notice any Medivac when I was there today.
  24. Today was definitely better than yesterday. When they finally got Challenge running, it really improved lift lines. But it was the busiest week day I’ve ever skied there. Snow was nice and TCS was ROTD. I didn’t try Razors, bumps the size of a buffalo did not seem like fun.. Lots of folks poaching everywhere. I miss the days when you could pretty much just ski on to the lift. 😕
