Wow, that looks like Presidents Day Weekend line.

I was looking at the tubing hill today, about 1/2 the length it used to be, and flatter maybe. Or am I imagining that?

Oh, and I also saw a flock of snow geese flying there today. I don't see them very often.

Tomorrows gonna be beautiful, too. I think low of 6 degrees tonight.

Bear was nice this am. Sasquatch, Grizzly, Extreme and top of Kodiak left ungroomed. Snow was pretty deep, and after several spectacular face plants, I started to get the hang out it. Never skied in anything that deep before. They got crazy crowded in the afternoon. Glad I got out early. If anyone was up early enough, did you see the moon this morning? Looked great with all that fresh, untouched snow.

I would have definitely traded a place on the Jersey shore for a place in Colorado, too.

Yeah, you'd think the township would keep the road clear. I'm sure they get a lot of tax revenue from Bear. Or is State Street a Penndot road?

Hope they clear it by tomorrow am. My tires are kinda not so good.

Glad some people went out and had fun. I'll get out early tomorrow. Looking at WFMZ traffic cams, roads look abysmal.

Not that much at 7 am, but there was a lot. I wonder how the road is from 29 and 100 up to Bear.

I live right outside Quakertown. Our weather and Bears are usually about the same. We have about 18 inches so far, still coming down heavy.

After skiing Switchback, I didn't even ski Razors. Skiing on those cookies is exhausting.

Razors just opened. I heard the golf balls on it were worse than Switchback, so decided to play it safe. With the exception of those 2 trails, everything really nice.

I don't know about anyone else that works there, but ours are magnetic. They always fall off and get lost.

Switchback open and it's pretty chunky. But it's open😎

How clear do they keep the hill going up to Blue, then back down towards the lower lot? From BMDI up? That looks like it could get nasty.

Skiers without poles had to get scanned every time, is what I said. I think park skiers look better with poles... just my opinion. But really, Sunday it was busy, so if your standing in line, I probably scanned you more than once. When it's not busy it's easier to remember who went through already.

I actually only caught 4 people whose tickets had expired Sunday. They were together, all around 12 years old, and didn't realize their 4 hour ticket expired. I do like the system at Blue, not sure if it would work at Bear. The bottom between A and B chair seems too open. It is annoying to get behind someone whose ticket doesn't work. Lots of people don't realize it has to be in your left pocket, without cell phone, credit card, etc.

Usually Sundays. Sometimes Saturday. I only have Mon- Thursday pass at Blue. I don't think I could tolerate the stupidity there on the weekends. Bear is pretty close to my house, so if it gets too crazy, I leave. Or if I'm working watch the stupidity and wonder how the human race survived.

I think I am one of two women who ever post on here, and the other one lives in Colorado. I also never ride Blue on the weekend, unless it's early/ late season.

Yes, I did get a buddy pass end of last season. I had to go to guest services and inquire.

If they build a hotel, with a spa, indoor/ outdoor pool, might not be too bad an investment. I don't know how many weddings they do, but having a place for guests to stay would be a plus. I think Bear makes bank on their weddings, then hotel is booked for the guests, so even more money. What happened to the water park? Seems they sunk a lot of money into clearing some ground and fancy pavers, then nothing.

I actually really like the base lodge.
