I thought today was best day of the season so far. Mainly due to lack of crowds prior to 1 pm. Got a total of 13 runs in. And yes, a bit icy. Paradise was certainly an improvement over Saturday until the narrow bottom. TCS was nice. I got cut off on the bottom of Paradise, did a nice face plant and have 2 nice dings between my eyes. But all in all, a fun day. I’m not back until Tuesday after Christmas, so everyone have a great weekend at Blue.

I was watching the webcams all day. Noticed at 315 pm finally on!!😀

Yesterday would have been a lot more fun for me with less people. I just get too panicky with that many people sliding around next to me. No more weekends for me until they open more trails. Parking lot was fun. High point of the day was seeing the bald eagle

Yesterday was fun, got out on the snow around 915. Got 10 runs in and called it a day. Snow was nice, but way too crowded for me. Then we spent a couple hours in the parking lot being entertained by an excavator filling in a huge hole that had been dug earlier.

Just got my answer. Tune shop open at 8 am.

I’m having a hard time getting a direct answer about when tune shop opens. Didn’t they used to open half hour prior to lifts opening? Took my skis to get mounted couple weeks ago, didn’t pick them up yet, too busy with family stuff Thanksgiving. I’ve called, no answer and don’t return calls

I was there couple weeks ago for a hike, looked like some paving and improvements to upper lot. That’s ok, I’d rather more folks park there.

Definitely there Friday or Saturday. Whenever they open.

Did you offer Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deals? It just seems like an odd thing to buy around the holidays.

I’ve only been during the week. Never busy. I wonder if they will stay open in the long run.

From a hike up there Tuesday

I’ve really treated myself this year. New skis, bindings, goggles. Snagged a pair of Goretex ski pants on Backcountry for $178! I’m thinking maybe new boots, as well.

Yeah, alcohol, weed and firearms sounds like a great combination.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I have an Ikon pass, but thinking maybe not renewing next year, as it can limit where you go. Definitely won’t get Epic. Maybe opt for some kind of Northeast value pass. And a Blue pass, of course.

Beets doing well this year. Also cucumbers, jalapeños. Looks like we’ll have lots of spaghetti squash and tomatoes. Japanese beetles are all over our raspberries 😡

Did you see or hear any rattlesnakes?

No AC for us, but we have a pool. First time in this season yesterday. Normally in daily in June. What a weird summer so far.
