Will do. Leave Saturday am. Getting very excited.
-
Are they assholes because they closed a trail or because they took down a bird habitat?

Got there early today. Did 2 runs before it was full on spring skiing. I love spring skiing, but not in mid February. Skid marks on Main Street, Lazy and Switchback already. 😩. Stuck to the quad later in the morning and afternoon. Challenge, TCS and Razors were nice. After 19 runs, my legs were done. Nice tailgate session afterwards.

I like to hang out along the edge, that way I can bail out if needed I can do soft snow bumped up no problem. Don’t have the rhythm for seeded bumps. I can’t dance either

Back to the topic, skied from 9-12. Conditions were surprisingly firm early, Razors was closed, not that I would have went down it. Looked bulletproof from the lift, along with some marbles and ruts. Did Barney’s Bumps several times, gotta get it while they’re small and far apart. That and TCS were ROTD.

I guess I’m in good shape for a Boomer 😂

Haha. I didn’t learn to ski until I was in my mid 40’s. Hooked the first group lesson I took at Bear.

Upper part of Sasquatch pretty damn steep… look down and can’t see the hill. Plus the double fall line. -
Amazing pictures, and you all are brave.

Glad to see they are making money. I learned to ski at BC. Has a special place in my heart

Weekend roll call thread 2/11-2/12

Back to the topic. I won’t be there. Working Saturday, off Sunday. Just can’t take the weekend crowds. That being said, I wouldn’t go to JF or BB either. Or Montage. Blue has the best terrain around these parts. -
I better dabble in them before they turn to ice. I’m not great a seeded bumps

It was perfect, so hard to stop skiing.i forgot to add, the bald eagle made several appearances from the nest. Last one was spectacular, as he circled low, then dove into the edge of the trees, I’m guessing he got some good eats. I have to take my binoculars over there and try to spot the nest.

Skied from 930-430, with a couple short breaks. Probably best day this season. Snow was perfect- a little crunchy in the am, but softened up perfectly, no sugar piles anywhere. Went back out after a quick tailgate. Snow firmed up as soon as the sun was off of it. Perfect bluebird day, did a total of 24 runs. Only trail I wasn’t happy with was Razors.

That sucks. And I thought I was pretty safe in this regard having a 2007 Honda CRV. Someone was stealing catalytic converters from the parking lot where I work, they seemed to prefer Infinitys

Between work, getting ready to go to Vermont and being in Vermont, today was the first day I skied Blue in 2 weeks😳. Lots of surprise ice patches all around. ROTD probably NMDW. Main Street and TCS not bad. I’ll be back tomorrow for more fun.
-
Wow. I hope it looks that good while I’m there

Sib, I would never expect you to give me a tour. Definitely going to take advantage of an ambassador tour.
-
We’re heading home tomorrow. Good thing you’re not going to Jay tomorrow. Closed for winds and mad negative temps.
-
They still do

Top of Lincoln Peak already cold as hell. We’re done up there for today. In Allyns lodge warming up.
-
We leave tomorrow. Hope my car starts! Not with Rodney’s crew. Doing a trip with my girls to Whitefish end of February and another for spring skiing at Killington end of March.

Back to Sugarbush today. Fun day. Sunny and cold. Lots of runs off Lincoln Peak. Jester was a blast, did that multiple times. Ate it on Sunrise late in the day. Looked floofy from the lift, but looks are deceiving… a sheet. Plus I was getting tired. On the fence about returning to Mt Ellen or doing Sugarbush again. Thought maybe we could see Mt Washington from the top today.
