I believe GSS addressed this several posts ago.

Don’t tell anyone that skis Camelslack how nice Blue is. 🙂

Not if you buy high octane beer.

Absolutely. We have a ton of jalapeños in our freezer from summer. I’m gonna try it.

Jay is on our list for next season.

And the obligatory food/ drink pictures. They had amazing hot toddies at Bullwinkles, my favorite was Makers Mark, lemon, honey and hot water. Also delicious appetizers, they made these caramelized jalapeños that were just so delicious.

Skied Sugarloaf Monday 2/14 through Thursday 2/17. First 2 days were crazy cold, minus 11 in the morning, so no one rushed out for first chair. It did keep the snow nice. Day 3 very windy, managed to get one run down before they shut down due to wind holds. So we proceeded to The Bag for drinks. Day 4 was warm and threatening rain. We were lucky, had first run in a spotty drizzle that stopped until 345, when they start shutting the lifts down. Made for some nice hero snow. Really loved Bullwinkles, a mid mountain bar/ restaurant. Stopped for a break there every afternoon. Great ski trip, we had a lot of fun, but just way too long a ride. If I go again, it will be more than 4 ski days, and will check out Saddleback

Dollar Generals can be fascinating. Stuff pretty much stacked to the ceiling, and they sell almost anything you would need. Drove to Lehighton from Rt 33 last night, I think we passed at 3 of them in that short drive. -
We had a lot of fun, thanks for asking. I’ll post a report and pictures at some point today.

A bunch of the ski ladies were at Sugarloaf. And the guys miss us a lot when we are gone. We are pretty much the life of the party 😎

Yesterday was perfect. Only run we didn’t take was Challenge, looked horrible from the lift. TCS definitely run of the day, some new soft bumps were forming, making it lots of fun. Skied 9-230, out for more until about 5pm, then off to CBI for snacks. Didn’t get home until about 10 pm. I’m feeling it today at work.

Lines not bad at all today. Just the 6 pack running. The quad was spinning for a bit, there were 2 or 3 snowmobiles at the top, so I’m guessing they were working on it. They never loaded it. TCS was very pleasant, no people on it. Pretty much no crowds at all today.

WTF is going on. Doesn’t ANYONE work anymore? I best be there at opening tomorrow.

Yes, it is hard to learn as an adult. Probably not too hard when you’re in your 20’s. But if you wait as long as I did, you really need patience. And you will fall a lot more than you want to. I went skiing the first time thinking I would go 2 or 3 times a year…how silly is that?

I just read this topic this morning. Just curious, did you manage to get a lesson at Camelslack? Seriously, if you need a beginner lesson, I’d go to Bear Creek. It’s a lot smaller and much less intimidating.

And another evac at Elk?

I thought they did too, but was with someone who’s grandson had my buddy pass. Wouldn’t let him through. It was ok, we managed to deceive the system 😉

Tuesday and Wednesday definitely awesome and off the charts. Tuesday a little crowded, but they opened the 6 pack at noon, and helped dissipate the lines. Apparently it was Chinese New Year, and a lot of schools were off🤷🏻♀️ WTF, we never got that off. Wednesday was super foggy at first, but it cleared by noon, snow was soft, and we even did TCS 3 times, snow and bumps were perfect, and I’m not a very good bump skier. We’ve had a good run of cold, consistent temperatures, hoping this rain clears out and we go back to single digits
