Yeah, Drs offices have it a little easier. “Oh, you’re sick? We can see you next week. Go to the ER if you need to be seen today” We had a great PCP, then Lehigh bought the practice, and things changed a lot.

Unfortunately, I’m not financially able to retire. And I can’t just quit, that wouldn’t be right. Just give us the equipment we need, and management could be a little more supportive.

I wasn’t worried about this initially, I’m not one to panic immediately. And I’m very distrustful of the media. Mainstream and otherwise. But I did take all the recommendations seriously, hand washing, stay away from crowds- but I practice social distancing when there isn’t a pandemic 🙂. I’m hoping 30+ years of people coughing in my face has given me a great immune system.

Yes, we got an email saying to use the N95 mask for multiple patients and several days, unless visibly soiled. We are to put it in our brown paper bag when we’re not using it. We have 4 dedicated covid rooms, expectation is one nurse can care for all 4! I’m like WTF, if all 4 are seriously ill, how can one person do that. I said something, but was ignored.

Doug, you spend zero time doing anything outside. When is the last time you were in a state park?

I’m not blaming New Yorkers for the crime. Every state around here charges a fee, fees here could help with maintenance of bathrooms, trails, beaches.

Pa State parks should seriously consider charging a small entry fee for out of state vehicles.

I haven’t been in a store in about a week and a half. Went today. They seem to really be spacing people out in line, however, didn’t limit number of people in the store. I was surprised how many people had masks on... that weren’t covering their noses. I didn’t wear gloves or a mask, just washed my hands when I got home, which I always did anyway.

It’s a shame. We used to camp at Tobyhanna State Park all the time. We never go there now.

Also is that route 209 that runs along the Lehigh River? Traffic sucked back then, too! I remember when there was only one tunnel on the NE extension, and what a mess it was on Friday evening and Sunday evening.

I’m guessing they like St Luke’s better than Lehigh Valley. But it is great they are doing that. I’ll buy next seasons pass to help with their lost revenue this season.

Ugh. Nosy neighbors. We’re lucky we’re not on to of each other here. Most of our neighbors are nice, too.

We have several nursing students that work as techs, it’s definitely stressing them out.

It’s been eerily slow at work. People not coming in for stupid stuff, I think they’re afraid. Shit hasn’t hit the fan yet here, and we’re fully staffed for a change.

I guess that’s one way to make sure everyone’s staying under quarantine!

My husband is really intelligent, can MacGyver just about anything, fix anything around here that’s broken. Start a campfire with no matches. He can even put snow chains on a car!
