  1. Bike around Upper Bucks today.
  2. Ugh, and they say boomers aren’t taking this seriously.
  3. Do you think people are coming in to look at cars because they’re bored? No intention of buying?
  4. Pattern maker for a very small business. What do you mean by hitting the trash?
  5. What is confusing about this post? I really take offense to someone saying people on unemployment are sitting on their ass watching cartoons. It’s not that easy.
  6. Being on unemployment is not the cakewalk it used to be. You have to apply for 2 jobs a week through their “Career link” And have to go to 2 interviews. The jobs they have posted are either professional in nature ie: therapists, psychologists, nurses or jobs like Lowe’s or Auto Zone, that want to pay you $10 hour and have you available 7 days a week. Then they want to see your resume. Of course, it’s not good enough for them, so they want you to drive to Norristown or Allentown to take classes to write a better resume. And they want you to keep coming back to classes to improve your resume It’s all a big scam, career link is not run by unemployment, they probably have some contract with the state, the more classes they teach, the more money they get. Your tax dollars at work. And it’s all bullshit. My husband had been on unemployment since January and it has been no picnic. He is not sitting around watching cartoons. He is not lazy.
  7. Not many employers will let you work 6 hours a week. And if you’re only working 6 -8 hours week do you qualify for their health insurance? Not sure if selling cars is considered essential. And didn’t all the car makers in US shut down?
  8. I wonder if there’s anyone at Blue to process payment for next years pass? I never did get mine.
  9. It depends. Not always.
  10. It depends on how much money you’ll make part time. Sometimes working part time is actually harmful in how much money unemployment gives you. You make out better not working at all
  11. Not everyone has relatives close by. And being a kid once is not the same as having kids.
  12. I hear ya. I’m so glad I don’t have young kids at home. I really feel bad for everyone that does.
  13. Doug what do you know about having kids? This is a huge problem for lots of people. And no, not everyone has a babysitter. You have no clue.
  14. Not sure if unemployment is a given, at this point. Anyone who processes claims is not at the office, and I don’t think they work from home. Just having a long weekend can screw timing of your check up.
  15. Yes. Daycares are closed, unless it’s a daycare for essential personnel. The daycare where I work got special status, and only employees of hospital may bring their kids.
  16. Are you a germaphobe? Just wondering.
  17. Yes, it was a beautiful day. I’m a big believer in how being outside makes you feel great, and is a huge stress reducer. During these times, people need that.
  18. I had a nice day. Snow was firm early on, but didn’t get too soft until around 2 pm. Skied from 930-415. We tailgated, no where near what folks do at Blue. I really needed a last day since I worked last 3 days Blue was open. Camelback announced about 15 minutes before closing today they would not be open tomorrow. LOTS of kids there today, the park was a shit show
  19. I think most public gatherings in state parks happen in the summer..family reunions and that sort of thing.
  20. Yes, I can understand closing a playground down, but if you want to take your kids for a walk or a bike ride in the park, you should be able to.
  21. I’m enjoying this thread. Thanks for posting. When I see pictures of deserted ski areas, I always think about the fun that was had there.
  22. I’m planning on it, since I missed the last 3 days Blue was open.
  23. Hahahaha. I noticed them, too
  24. I guess as long as Wawa is open, it will be ok.
