Yeah, that really works out well. Kid can't read, write a complete sentence, or solve a simple math problem. But he or she can get an almost free ride in college based on athletic ability. I just realized something🤔 This is in the Elk thread. How the hell did that happen?

I agree. I don't know why it got like this. When I was growing up, my brothers played football and baseball. They practiced after school, and the season didn't consume most of the year. My son quit wrestling his senior year of high school because he wanted to do some fun things that he wanted to do. I was definitely ok with that.

Got here around 9. Took forever to get here. Accident in Center Valley. Conditions are great. Nice and fluffy. They are grooming Razors. And. Ton of snow on Sidewinder. Blowing on Switchback. Weather forecast for next week looks abysmal. Enjoying it while I can.

Yeah, heard some resorts in Utah had to close early, too. Thunder, lightning, hail, snow!

Yes tooth pain SUCKS. 1 tooth can cause the whole side of your head to feel like someone is putting an ice pick in it. I've had crowns, bridges, etc. And it's not because I don't take care of my teeth. Phillycore, I feel your pain. Hopefully you get it taken care of Monday.

Never been to Whiteface. Have been to Gore. Had fun there.

Looks like a great time. Going to Utah early March. Wasn't going to make an east coast trip this year. May change my mind.

I feel there has been a lot of lift issues past week. A woman fell off the lift in Colorado last week and died, then there was another rescue in Utah, I think. Snowboarder's backpack got stuck and he was hanging from the lift. Looked like ski patrol had to go up and fetch him.

I could probably get into that if I lived in a place that consistently got snow. Snowshoes would be fun to have, too.

Just got done skiing. Challenge was definitely run of the day until now, as it is pretty scraped off. Paradise was good, too. Starting to get sugar piles everywhere. People poaching Razors and Sidewinder. Got on the hill around 930, so I'm pretty happy. It's actually getting a little crowded. Oh, and they mowed all Barneys Bumps down.

Maybe they'll have the whole place open this weekend. Guns are blazing!

That sucks. One of my kids loves skiing and snowboarding, does both. The other one can take it or leave it. Luckily, the kid who loved it and still does managed to get a lot of free stuff growing up. Extremely helpful to me financially.

I agree. Skiing in rain not bad. Snow is usually soft, but fast.
