Wow, off to college soon. My kids would pretty much go anywhere fun with me at that age. As long as I was paying!

No leg burn for me today....I must have been doing something right.

I thought everything was pretty good considering. I was pleasantly surprised.

Prolly won't be there tomorrow Maybe next Saturday if still open. Might be there during the week. This season was just too short.

Try Wildcat in New Hampshire. I don't think there is any place to stay real close, but it's a really fun mountain. And yes, Bretton Woods is very flat.

I feel once you have some of the basics down, private lessons help improve things if your having an issue. Unfortunately major $$$. Then the tip. The resort should pay ski instructors more. Not today.. Prolly not tomorrow either. 80 degrees, yuck.

In soft snow, I feel like when your legs are together, its easier to get thru the mounds. Apart, I feel each leg has its own mind!

Oh and I got about 4 hours sleep last night. ... didn't make for the most energetic day.

I think when the snow is really soft it becomes more a fear thing with me. I look at all the bumps and divots in the snow, and I think, holy crap, I'll never get through this! My skis are wide enough, they are park skies, prolly like 4 years old. I try to keep my feet together as much as possible. I'm really not the best skier, just out to have fun.

No one here. Getting really soft, so time to go. Prolly Switchback in best shape. Bottom lodge bar actually open. Guess they have to make $ somehow! I always feel like it's really easy to get hurt in soft snow.

Yeah, I do. Then just leave my old hiking boots and ski bag in a cubby or sometimes just along the wall in the back. I don't take my stuff back out to the car. I like having water and snacks available, so they just stay in my bag. I don't leave anything really valuable in there.

Yup. And not ashamed to admit it.
