What sort of things happening in July and August?

When kids are young, you pretty much should stay with them. As they get older, depending on their skill level, and common sense, you can let them do their own thing. But it's still a lot of fun to be out there , meet up, they show you some new tricks they are learning. I'm not saying be on their back all the time. But if your kid is bombing Challenge- they need a little guidance.

Depends on how old the kid is, and if they know how to ski.

I feel there are a lot of young kids there with no helmets, and often without any adult supervision during the week. I think they must have some kind of home school special when I'm there on Thursdays. Lots of moms in bottom lodge, chatting. Kids out on the hill.I feel like shaking them, and telling them get out and ride with your kids, they will be some of the best days you've ever had!

Yes, I was at Killington early this week. Huge piles on Superstar Still making snow there and several other places. Just got done at Blue. Conditions amazingly decent. Razors closed, and from what I understand racing there 3 days. Last run down Paradise, snowboarder fell, and Iiterally heard his head hit the ground. he didn't get up very fast. No helmet. Kid is prolly abut 16-17. With his Dad, who says to me "we've never done this " I'm like really, why don't you take a lesson or two, and next time rent helmets. Told Dad they should stop and maybe take the kid to the hospital. I hope kid is ok. I went down again and they were gone.

Any one go tonight? How are things holding up? Just looked at Bear's website, over half closed, and I doubt if they will reopen. Didn't work there Sunday or yesterday.

Always enjoy your pictures. If I'm able to ski out west next year, I should consider this. What months are typically best and what weeks are best to avoid because of crowds?

Maybe tomorrow will be my last session at Blue this year.

Free tickets pretty much everywhere in eastern PA. Skied free last year at Elk, Montage,Camelback. Could have went free to Blue, but already had pass. Any Peak Resort will comp you. Most places do limit you to 1-2 tickets season. Last year Killington gave me 1cp ticket, wouldn't this year. Not sure why. Guess they are losing to much & with this crappy season

Fiesta Habenero also has sit down place on Rt 29 just above Pennsburg. Good food.

It was definitely worth the perks for a couple years, I can't complain.

Only Sundays. I am not doing the Bear Creek job next year. I really don't need to have 2 jobs anymore. Too much.

Seriously, don't ski til next year. It's not worth it. When I tore my ACLS, I really wanted to ski before it was repaired. I figured what the hell, it's already a mess. One of my kids actually talked sense into me! You're not missing a great season. So just heal 100%. Next year will be better.

Insane. Jumping over helicopter with rotors turning??!! Let alone everything else.

I guess you can go Friday with non peak pass? I'm out of town til tomorrow late. Prolly wouldn't feel like going Thursday, but definitely would be wanting to go Friday.

Took a trip there about 5 years ago. Went during the week and stayed a the hotel. They had a great breakfast buffet. Mostly went at the request of 2 park riders, so took them. It's not very steep, but pretty wide. The kids really did enjoy the park. Other than that, nothing special.

I always put the bar down. Nice footrest.

Yes, apparently schools in New York off all week. Hotel at Bear was booked solid. There were a lot of kids there today. It typically is not that crowded on a Thursday. I can't complain- never had to wait in line, and slopes didn't seem busy. I did feel bad for I guess was Park Crew. They were trying to film jump, and just kept getting snaked by people on rental skis.

Nice. Has he ever been to a summer camp like Windells? Although, I think all snowboarding camps are done at High Cascade. Expensive, but the amount they can progress in a week is incredible.

Another fun day. Why can't work go this fast??? Buses arriving and time to go.

Challenge wasn't too bad earlier today. Some mini golf balls scattered about. Getting a little scraped off. Switchback best run today.
