And you just had to mention parking, didn't you??!!!! Actually that is a funny remark though.

They should make you chief advisor to George Doobya!

Welcome to PABitchandMoanAboutCamelback! Yep that sums it up.

To bring this back on topic. Yes Ben you hit the nail on the head here. There can be 90% of a ski area that is fine but just let someone find that 10% that isn't and then all of the sudden the management doesn't care about it's customers, the employees don't know what they are doing, and the whole place is a waste of time. It is so old. We have people who have never made snow criticize the snowmaking, people who never groomed criticize the grooming, etc. Yes there are screw ups from time to time but as we saw this year there are many factors out of everyone's control that can cause something to not be 100%. "waaaah waaah waaaah I wana have some more buried pipes, picnic tables, orange crates, and 2X6's to hammer up my gear on!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!! Where's my 2X4's with rusty nails sticking out of em??? waaaaaahhhhhhhhhh I want it now mommy, er I mean cameltoe, now now now now now!!!!!!! gimmie gimmie gimmie!!! wwwwaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh I want! I want! I want! I want! I want! I want! I want bigger jumps so my friend can break his wrist and I can go do the jump blind and land on him why he's in the landing!!! wwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh It's OK since I yelled drop! wwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my god there are death cookies on the side of the trail!! waaaaaaaaaaah daddy please hold my hand, the death cookies scare me! waaaaahhh wwwwwwaaaaaaaahhhh I'm not gonna be friends with any grommers any more cause their poopyheads waaaahhh oh no I'm on the east coast and there is ice on the slope. waaaaahhhhh where is all the fluffy powder?? waaaaahhhhhh Oh nevermind I can't ski in powder either. waaaaahhhh sob sob sobby sob Are we having fun yet?

Sorry to go off topic but that movie that you have for your avatar is funny sh*t. :rofl

I guess it depends on whether or not your gloves are warm enough. (Yeah no duh) My gloves have fleece liners that I usually leave out unless it's really cold. Also if the gloves do get wet I can always put in the liners and it's like a new pair of gloves. Just my take on it.
-
Yeah solid advice!! Check out http://www.campmor.com for some good deals. I get most of my outdoor gear there. Duofold rocks!!!
-
Looks like this will be good advice for this weekend. Temps are goin down!!! Do yourself a favor and at least get get some decent gloves. Even the cheap ski gloves from Target are better than using someones driving gloves or leather work gloves. The first time you come into the lodge with frozen or cold and soaking wet gloves and your hands are numb you will hate life when they warm up. Feels like a monkey with a hammer is beating the heck out of them. Although, it is funny seeing people using socks as gloves. If you know your feet normally sweat a lot then a boot dryer will save you from cold toes on multi day trips. I got one at an end of the season sale a few years back and won't leave home without it. Oh and about the heat packs.... Don't let the foot ones get too much air. They are designed to be inside a closed boot and will get too hot if exposed too much.

I guess if you found people that fitted the stereotypes then maybe. Some patrollers have racing experience so you wouldn't necessarily be able to tell them from racers. Likewise some park rats also may have raced when younger.
-
There is a thread pinned here that has some good tuning info. Also his site has some excellent info. Hope the offer is still on. I'm sending an order. Perfect timing!!
-
So you basically need another deck if you want to be able to carve. OK I'll buy that. I just don't understand spending all that money and then destroying my gear but I guess I'm old school.
-
Just to be clear this isn't a dig on people who live in the park. I have an honest question. I was just wondering last weekend why people are so eager to mess up their bases and edges doing grinds on rails and boxes. Yeah it may look cool and all but doesn't your board or sticks get all hammered up?? You would think with all the hardpack you would want to keep your edges sharp. Do you guys have to buy bulk size packs of ptex every season and file your edges after every day you go out?
-
Unless mommy or daddy got them the skis and they have no business riding them.
-
Yeah Pharo and the upper part of Bactrian were pretty scraped off early.
-
Ski patrollers are selfish bastards that don't care what kind of gear they use to bring you down with. They only care about trying to save your sorry @ss when you lose an edge and fly off the trail. I tell you it's absolutely heartless. I think they should make them pay for all thier own gear and training and make them beg the mountain for updated equipment so they can help the public more. Oh wait, they already do that.

Hey this thread was more fun when everyone was just complaining about the Rangers.
-
How about that mass of bodies that forms accross the trail when you make the left when you get off of the Sully lift and head towards Cameltoe. No don't anybody get to the left or right side. Just drop in the middle and strap in. Way to go. Or how about the part where you get off of Cleo and head down Honeymoon lane where it is kind of uphill. Everybody just bunches up all accross so nobody can get through. Even if you do manage to keep up enough speed through it you have to stop because Ivan Toolski from the Queens Borough bus trip is there with his buddy Boris Buttfaceovich shooting the breeze. You have the right idea. I've seen a couple times where somebody would wipe out and be lying in the landing and then someone takes the hit and runs into the back of the poor guy on the ground. WTF????
-
Yeah it would have been movie time. That sucks man. They were jealous that they couldn't do it.

There's a funny sign at the top of The Wall at Kirkwood.

Always has to be a wise guy somewhere.

Mean? C'mon it wasn't that bad. Considering his behavior especially. For instance, pappacheeze has been hijacking all the threads in the CB forum way too much. You can't even ask how conditions are without him whining about something. Hey we all understand he has his issues and God knows we have all heard what they are. If he wants to start a "reasons why I hate camelback" thread then fine. We don't need him turning every thread into that or attacking anyone with a positive opinion of CB.
-
Sorry k2 but we are getting spammed by mommasphincter abusing the CB forum incessantly with his drivel as usual. Everyone has to suffer because of d1ckless bastards like him. Anyway see everyone Satuday. Everything was fine until d1ckless here turned off the containment grid! Is this true? Yes. This man has no penis.
-
OK man sorry. In my effort to bring the incessant thread hijacking to a halt, or at least diminish it, I'm adding to the problem. I'm not the only one but I am guilty of it nonetheless. Maybe one of these days we can have a conditions thread that isn't turned into bitch session about CB. On that note somebody please post how the conditions are today/tonight when you can. Peeeeace!!

That pretty much sums it up. BTW I think you mean Tut not Turkey Trot. Personally it's torture not just going down Tut 100 times it's the fact that I have to look down Hump and see it all bare.
