Unless you start talking about the superpipe which is taking up so much of the snowmaking resources that they can't even get the rest of the mountain open in a timely manner. If they didn't have to put all that snow in oak grove then rhodo would be open already and laurel glade would be in much better shape. Heck, even the rest of the trails may be open by now. (I still can't wait to hit the sucker when it opens though.) Maybe they will do something to increase the snowmaking capacity now they have a dire need for it with the new pipe. It sucks that the a good deal of the rest of the mountain has to be ignored at the expense of the superpipe. At least mgmt compromised and got marjie's and rocket open. BTW this is no dig on the snowmaking crew. I think that given the limited resources they are doing the best they can. Maybe mgmt can go back to investing in snowmaking instead of building a wave pool or blowrider this year. If I'm not mistaken they even lost a snowmaking pond because of the wave pool. You would have figured they would make a new pond or make the one they have left bigger with the pipe being added???????????

Yeah the man speaks the truth. If you want to go cheap charlie you can just get by with a file, guide and diamond stone for the base edge and an old clothes iron, some bulk wax, a scraper and a kitchen scrubber pad to wax 'em. You can build up your tuning kit from there. There's plenty of good tuning advice in the tuning forum too. If you live near some of your ski/ride buds then you could even chip in with some guys and share the gear.

Blue used to be my favorite PA mountain for years since they had bumps and it was one of the closest places for me to go. They used to have $10 skiing on Sundays and I would park at the Saddle lodge and be able to ski down on the last run and not have to take the lift up at the end of the night. The only thing I didn't like was the lifts seemed slow. Camelback has grown on me and now that they are finally letting some trails get bumped up I am loving it. I just wish the bar would stay open later.

Actually I had to go to the rangers to get my park pass. Did you guys change it? Hopefully you get Rhodo finished fast and can get the rest of the mountain open soon.

The right side of Margies was sick Saturday night. Lots of bumps and drop offs. I was having a great time. They groomed it really well and yesterday the conditions were really nice. There was less ice on it and the coverage was even better. I can't wait until they get Oak Grove and Rhodo done so they can start blowing snow on the rest of the diamonds.

What did people do before there were parks???? They had to make due with whatever they had. CB is definitely concerned more about skiiers than boarders. That is how it is. Kind of as close as you can get to Alta in the Pocanos. Anyone who wonders why this is may as well start bitching that the sky is blue and not green. It's just how it is. There are plenty of mountains within an hour that you could drive to that will better serve your needs if you want to ride the park.

Even one of those thin wire cable locks is better than nothing. I'm glad CB finally got on the ball and started a ski check.

I got new skis and this is how I prepped them. Generic warm wax base coat (some junk I got at a ski sale cheap), a layer of Papa Woody Synthetic, and since its been warm put on some Swix CH10 Yellow Hydrocarbon (32-50 deg) Occasionaly I may put on a dash of some Swix F4 univeral glide and really buff it in. It's been working really well. I have to check out Dr D's stuff though because it seems everyone that has is really happy with it.

Yeah if someone gets one definately bring it to PASR day at CB. It would be fun to hang out at Cliff and check out how fast people are bombing down.

Well at least they will have Marjie's open on the Wesside. That's one of my favorites! Forcast showed that only Thursday and Friday will be "warm" at 36. (Not that I should trust the forcasts anymore) Looks like decent snowmaking weather throughout the weekend. Let's hope it holds out. I'm friggin so psyched winter is finally here!!!!!!!!
