Yeah if it wasn't for the fog and rain sprinkles it would have been a pretty good weekend. Even with the fog I still couldn't believe how slow it was. You could actually go down a trail and not see anyone for half the time. I can't wait to see it this weekend after all the snowmaking that's going to happen.

Add to it that this Asian guy was giving ski lessons to about a dozen or more kids in the middle of the base area. They kept running into people and were all over the place. Lets not use the learning hill. Noooooo that would make too much sense.

I can see how it is a good thing in slow zones. As long as they don't start setting up speed traps along the mountain. That would be lame. As far as speed in general goes I think that as long as you are in control, not buzzing real close to people, and are not going through an area where an accident is then you should be able to go as fast as you can handle. I don't spend all that time working on my edges and waxing my bases for nothing.

I hear ya brother!!! I have friends that are always plugged in and I can't understand it. I think half the thrill of skiing or riding is hearing the air rush by, the sound of a killer turn, and the occasional branch whizzing by.

I think you would have to worry about the Rangers more than the Ski Patrol. BTW I think the training alone as well as the candidate period is rough enough for becomming a patroller. They don't need to have any hazing. I've skiied with people wearing bells before and it does get everyone's attention. When I'm overtaking a snowboarder that has their back to me I will tap my poles together to let them know I'm there. That usually works too. Of course there is always the 'on you left' or 'on your right'.

Here here!!! Actually I used to prefer Blue to CB back in the day but as I spent more time at each one I got to appreciate CB more. The only major difference for me was that Blue had a bump run. As of last year CB has not only had a bump run but they also groomed some bumps on an intermediate trail so people can learn how to ski them. That was awesome!!! I can't wait for it to get cold enough for them to blow enough snow to open up the west side and the new park.

I usually have a mix of 1/2 gatorade and 1/2 water and it cleans out well. Keep it in the freezer when you aren't using it. That will keep the mold from growing. And yes it will grow quick if you don't clean it well and leave it out. Just make sure the fill cap is open and you blow the water out of the hose before you put it in the freezer. I just got a decent water bladder for my pack at Wally Mart for like $12-13 and the bitevalve and hose screw on and off. Why didn't CamelBak think of that?

Yeah it's a pretty quick movie. Just make sure you have picture ID or a guardian. I swear if people watch that movie and start checking out the terrain first and MAKE SURE THE LANDING AREA IS CLEAR then the injuries would drop in half at least.
