the temp dropped before sundown too. when it gets slushy during the day and the temps are supposed to drop anywhere around freezing the snow is going to ice over. and as for bear creek, it didnt get icy yesterday because it didnt get warm enough for it to melt the snow on top.

yeah thats understandable. it was slightly dissapointing but it was fun for what they had. fresh parks are a good thing we just got unlucky yesterday.

lockers are for gapers. get there early if you want a good parking spot. problem solved. passholders get plenty of benefits in being able to go as much as you want for a measly $300. the price of a pass is nothing compared to paying 35 bones for a lift ticket. stop complaining.

im really impressed with the new setup. the blackbear into the halfpipe area run is so much fun. the 4 jump line in blackbear is a lot of fun. its cool how they are all different style jumps. not very big, but still fun, especially when you get them dialed. and then the halfpipe area i think flows so well. everything was set up perfect this morning and no matter what line you picked you were able to hit each feature with ease. my favorites of the day were the butterpad to down rail and the 42 ft single barrel. ALSO, huge props to bear park crew. arrived 15 minutes after opening and there were 6 park crew members out. they fixed all the lips and cleared all the snow off the rails. overall a great day and big ups to bciw!

too bad it was sitting on the side of the trail yesterday when i was there...

i had a lot of fun from opening until about 3, went in to eat after and it was getting icy when we came out. but thats expectable when it softens up during then day and the temp drops back down at night the parks were fun. mini park was cool to mess around in and the bigger park could use some work but i liked the first 2 jumps and the down double barrel especially. the 3rd jump needs redone, it needs a bigger takeoff and a steeper landing. didnt hit the 4th because the down rail was so nice.

yeah, you may be. it has no flow. i like the up rail and the first jump, thats about it. i'd take simple anyday over a flat box thrown on a big mound of snow that you have to tuck in to clear. more than anything else i would really like to see park crew mellow out the lips and knock the snow off the rails in the morning.
