  1. i dont know i dont think tubing really needs the multi hits. i'd rather see them take all the snow and make 2 good single hits and make them good size. it would be better because it will be nice and wide. after all it is supposed to be the biggest hits bear has. you dont see boulder park with multi hits. if you like multi hits stay in black bear.
  2. i take it your under 18? i always had my mom go with me, but i believe last year i just took the signed form and i was ok. im not 100% sure, maybe someone else will know. but you definetly need a parent signature either way.

  5. i would love a big step up. and a couple nice jumps like they had in tubing for a while, but have them all year
  6. im pretty sure they do, by number of skier visits/ season
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detachable_chairlift "The significance of detachable chairlift technology is primarily the speed and capacity. Detachable chairlifts move far faster than their fixed-grip brethren, averaging 1200 feet per minute (13.6 mph, 6 m/s) versus a typical fix-grip speed of 500 ft/min (5.5 mph, 2.5 m/s). Because the cable moves faster than most passengers could safely disembark and load, each chair is connected to the cable by a powerful spring-loaded cable grip which detaches at terminals and slows considerably for convenient loading and unloading, typically 200 ft/min (2.2 mph, 1 m/s), a speed slower even than fixed-grip bunny chairlifts." thats the first error in the math. HSDQ's run at 1200 feet/min rather than 1000. however i cant find how many chairs unload a minute so its hard to complete the math. so who knows???

    yeah?

theres something magical about spring. it must be like that old ski resort and the first place ive rode kind of thing, but it makes me look forward to a yearly visit there.
  9. Tyler

    yeah?

spring actually has it a little better than bear. despite being further south and a little warmer, they get all their water right from the perkiomen creek, unlike bears warm ponds. so when bear struggles to get their water temp down, spring already has cold water.

    yeah?

    last time i checked, nope.
  11. 25K waterproofing and the fur on the hood is removable. i bet its pretty good.

    yeah?

actually justin, with a decent cold spell, all of the mountains could be open around thanksgiving. geographically, bear creek is not located in florida, so therefore it is possible.

    broken equipment

yes sir, you saw my darkstar last year... it was delaminating all over, i got the '09 through warranty for this year. Somehow i manage to have a new board for every season these days, or if not i break it half way through. for anyone looking to buy a board, there is no where better to buy it than dogfunk, backcountry, and whatever other websites they run. They have a lifetime warranty on everything, whether you dont like it in 2 years, or it breaks, anything...theyll replace it, no questions asked. i have a feeling my new board will delaminate again, i love the darkstars but i cant say im a fan of the topsheet.

  17. I'm gonna say that if you took that much time to write that, and read that deeply into it, then you sir care too much about what people are wearing and whats trendy. Lighten up, worry about yourself, and have some fun.

    help with new set up

i love my rome bindings. ive had 2 pairs now and theyre great. plus rome has the best customer service ive delt with. and for boots i cant complain about my 32's. Theyre still in great shape after 150 days on them. seriously the only advice you should be looking for is bindings. boots is just a matter of what feels the best and what fits your feet. you dont wanna buy boots without trying them on. nothing will ruin a day with your new gear then some sore feet.
  21. its definietly PA, and most likely camelback. Where else do they groom out fresh powder? (not that you would be able to move on that trail if they didnt)
