What are sno's parks' setups? I could be there sunday from 12- whenever... they still run that $10 thing if i bring my bear creek pass right??
-
couple things were changed around since yesterday. the first jump in cascade is a bit bigger, its nice. next the butter pad is back, except this years isn't as good yet. its taller but its also shorter. the actual butter pad part should be lengthened by about 5 to 10 feet and it would be a lot more fun. the upflat needs to go and the qp has to be open more. dont change the 1st jump in tubing that thing is always $$. oh and take the double c out and put back in the black plastic tube that thing is a lot of fun.

the snow today was some of the best of the year and they'll be blowing again tonight so it will be awesome. i'd still be there but the crowds are outrageous.
-
looks like theyre pushing around some snow in cascade...hopefully a full rebuild
-
where in montgomery county you looking at, i may be down. pm it to me if you trying to keep your spots unknown.
-
rain didnt affect them much, they have a ton of snow. today needed a good grooming and flattening and the rails need to be dug out. i would definetly like to see a full rebuild on both parks really soon.

My names Tyler. hit me up next time you see me
-
yeah dude that was it. Definetly look for me again i'm down to ride with you anytime.
-
i think i remember talking to you sometime in the last 2 weekends. you complemented me for something i dont really remember. i know i had yellow pants black jacket on that day. haha i didnt realize that was you.
-
i'm not worried about it being heavy. if they actually are i'm used to it already. it was just hard for me to get anything but romes seeing how much i liked my others
-
yo diamond, do you have green "$" stickers on your helmet? blue jacket?
-
i went with the romes. thanks for the help
-
oh yeah i saw you. i hit it after you fixed it up a couple times and it was sweet.
-
Ok so after 105 days on my Rome's i finally snapped them. Now i need to pick up some new ones. I have narrowed it down to 4 or so, just looking for some outside input. I wear a size 10 32 boot and they will be going on a darkstar. I ride 90 percent park. I can get all of these for under $175: Rome 390 Special Edition Technine Military Ride Alphas Flow M9 ...any other suggestions just throw them out there...

Ian Cosco is soo sick. nice improvement over darren rahlves.

agreed about the lips on the boxes, there is definetly an awkward pop right before some of them. most noticeable the long flat box at the bottom of black bear. could be from a lot of traffic on it though.
-
keep it set up just the way it is, make sure its always open though so people can get a feel for it and start trying stuff on it.

i can hit both jumps in cascade and easily carry enough speed to spin both. as for the dfd, you people requested it to go off the cliff so you cant bitch about its positioning. the ufd flows fine into the flat down. and if i do recall, i remember you saying you only hit the qp maybe 3 times, so i dont see how you can judge it. give it time i think it'll be fun. as for blackbear the 2nd jumps are just a bit too big to hit easily coming off the up rails. I <3 cascade to tubing runs!
-
how are you gonna get creative without the speed to hit anything? i definetly see big problems there. if you wanna hit the bigger jumps you are gonna have to either skip the up rail/ box or haul ass and land flat on them to keep speed.

I have a bad feeling about the slopestyle tomorrow. I'm assuming its on the newly redone blackbear. Blackbear's new setup alone isnt very fun, let alone good enough for a decent competition. The rail selection and placement is terrible. It starts off with that first jump, which has soooo much pop. Then the up rail and up box. First of all there is no variety there. It should be setup more like an up box and an urban down rail. Secondly, there is no way to get enough speed for the next jump, especially if your hitting the big side. Personally, i thought the construction of the next jump sucked anyway. When i hit it i found it hard to find that perfect speed for the big side, you either came too slow and knuckld, or came in a little too hot and landed backseat. Anyway the next 3 rail option is disgusting. Nobody wants to hit the rainbow or a 10 foot down box in a legit comp. I can see the 'smurf' rail in the middle being spun off like that hot dog at boulder, BUT if you hit it with any speed to spin off you are landing flat. I'm assuming its ending with that little bonk at the end. My real question is on what feature are you gonna be able to truly judge the skill of riders. There is no urban down rail, even a flat rail, let alone a legit jump line to see who can put something together, or anything to be creative on. It may just be my opinion but I was definetly dissapointed in the setup, and i'm not even in the comp. I can see a big letdown coming. I definetly think last years setup on tubing was a better choice. Who knows, maybe the comp wont even be on blackbear and all my opinions can be disregarded...but it will definetly be interesting to see.

haha anyone else find that statement funny? u mean slush?
-
yes. yesterday was soft but a lot of fun. if you dont mind a few brown spots its all good.
-
I <3 rome bindings. mine have over 100 (101 between this year and last) days on them now and they are in great shape still.
-
it was shitty today, i will let you know how it is tomorrow...

just took a peek at my stats, ive hit bc 48 times now and i never get bored. so i dont think thats his problem. hes not a bad rider either from what ive seen, so i dont know what his gripe is.
