this park setup right now and the one at the end of last year were both more fun that 2 years ago imo
...the ledge is fun, bleachers are fun. the double c was a dissapointment. it wouldve been sick, if it was built more like heavenly's. give the qp a chance...
blues double rainbow isnt nice at all. all double rainbows are lame, give me a flat rail over a double rainbow anyday. its amazing how quickly you people jump ship. bears park was sick the past 2 weeks, now the conditions have gotten shitty 3 days and you make the claim they arent stepping up their park. bears park is definetly solid and on the same level as blues if not ahead of it.
yeah dude conditions were complete shit again tonight and bear knew it and accepted the fact they would definetly lose money. hell they didnt even groom it but they stilled stayed open for the die hard pass holders to come up and screw around.
yeah i hit them both. when i was there park crew hadnt worked on it yet and the lip was just a giant pile of snow. like i said i had to leave before they were done so i was just interested in how the lip turned out and how it held up
edit: nevermind i wasnt thinking, i didnt hit the urban down in its new spot, didnt spend much time in tubing today but 1 run.
i heard it took 4 and 1/2 hours to get that thing up there. i had to leave early today so i dont know how well they were able to fix the lip to the quarterpipe but it definetly looks like it will be a problem.
i'd rather see something more mellow, thats like the first jump in blackbear. if they could find a medium between too poppy and too mellow it would be great
another one wrong. go any saturday or sunday, ride both sides of the mountain. the quad on the other side is always a 5-10 minute longer wait during peak times.
are you serious? bear will be lucky to make 10% of their money off of the park rats. who do you think stays in the hotels? who buys $7 chicken baskets? trust me its not the park rats
the first jump in tubing is decent, pretty poppy. i prefer spinning the second one, the bigger one. i like how its more mellow. as long as you get used to the inrun which can be a little sketch at times with all the speed, its a fun jump.
anyone can ride in the parks as long as they follow smartstyle. seriously i could give two shits if you fall after every rail as long as you clear the landing in a timely fashion and dont clog up the park. the race team however is truly a problem at bear creek. their instructors constantly have them waiting around in blind spots on the landings of cascades jumps. i'm not saying i want it to happen, but just one little crash and they will learn their lesson.
