  1. all the jumps in blackbear are small, 10-20 feet. cascade's are 20-35 feet. then there are two in tubing which go about 25 feet then 50 feet.
  2. i see you everyday haha, say hi, my names tyler
  3. some pics from today: awesome day at BC... cascade's 1st jump, spinning fun... Flat rail... Bleachers... Rainbow... Tubing Jump...
  4. as mini zep said in another thread, lower the butter box, and get rid of the huge drop off afterword
  5. ...wait until you have to pay for gas, that boulder pass wont be as appealing
  6. build every jump like the first one in cascade.
  7. park was soo sick this morning and held up great until i left at 4:45, everything was perfect. the jumps and rails all had great lips and landings. the first jump in cascade is absolutely awesome please dont change it and the big jump in tubing was nice. perfect temps, perfect snow, perfect day. i will throw up some pictures in a bit
  8. that new jump they added in blackbear has a wierd lip, the way they have it cut you cant tell where the actual lip is. anyone else have that problem?
  9. i definetly like it better than before, no doubt. maybe make it a little bigger and have a tad bit more pop and it would be $$
  10. the first jump in cascade is definetly better than its been, pretty mellow and fun. everything else was pretty good too.
  11. i'd personally rather ride at blue or bear creek just for the vibe. both are extremely laid back and fun, while boulder if full of arrogant assholes who just deteriorate the entire scene.
  12. yeah you pretty much nailed it, being a goofy snowboarder i had to come in on my heel edge which can be a pain when its even a little icey, especially when i detune my edges, so it was harder to hold my speed. ...probably the reason we have different opinions on the jump line i like the way blue built their biggest jump, nice and mellow. i wouldve liked to see it down a little further like last years but it was fun. and yeah, definetly shouldve done that comp just for how laid back it was, looked fun
  13. a nice 25-35 footer with a mellow lip would be perfect to spin on.
  14. speed was hard to come by for the top part sunday because of how windy it was so that might have something to do with flow. i liked the placement of the big jump last year better, if this year's was just 10 or 15 feet down further it wouldve been perfect, although it was pretty good. oh and i think blue may have the worst gaper problem around in their parks. i dont know if i took a run without being cut off or having to avoid someone on the landings. hell, i was even cut off by ski patrol
  15. why are most of the jumps they put in lately so poppy, why cant we have some that are pretty mellow? build every jump after the one that was in the pipe
  16. my thoughts on the park: i was there all day sunday. i opted out of the comp because it was too windy, but i regret it because it looked pretty fun. besides the ice and wind it was pretty fun. (coming down the hill) the right side of the first section was fun. i liked the 2 rails and the boxes would have been nice if you couldve built up more speed. the flat down was decent and i liked the dfd's a lot. i stayed away from the circus crap for the most part. the hip was worthless besides a drop in for the jumps. the next jumpline was ok, the 4th jump was definetly my favorite. i feel like everything at blue was too close together. the top section of sidewinder was way to crammed and the jumpline wouldve been better off as 3 not 4. The big jump in the next section of sidewinder was really nice. i liked the mellow lip and landing stayed good all day. the octagon bonk is actually a lot of fun as well. as for the next part, the staircase needs a wider lip but was still fun. as for the lower park the cement mixer is way bigger than i thought. the minipipe was a sheet of ice. the butter box was fun until i came out from lunch and there was a crater in the landing. the rainbow was ok, the mat was showing after the flat down, and the little mailbox jib was fun. overall i think sidewinder is way to crammed together. it really doesnt have great flow and all the good jibs are over after the top section. blue does build some nice jumps. oh and park crew is pretty weak. i dont think i saw them fixing a lip the whole time when many of the hits needed it. can't complain though, a fun day.
  17. im pretty interested, let me see some pics. i can meet you at BC anytime
  18. what time do you think the park will open back up after the comp? im debating between jfbb or blue for tomorrow...
  19. stuff was decent today, snow was really hard. cascade jumps were nice, the some of the boxes should have wider lips. the down rail and the bottom set of 4 jibs were all setup nicely. time to get rid of the hip and put that jump back in the pipe!
  20. what type of other rails are you looking for? they have just about everything they need
  21. i had fun on it tonight, i liked the setup of blackbear. cant wait to see the new cascade. thank you for putting the downrail back in. bear got 5+ inches from this little storm
