  1. so i just got back. blackbear stayed in really good condition. anyway they opened cascade and tubing a little later. cascade had a 3 jump line, a flatbox, double c box, staircase, battle ship rail, and a barrel bonk. tubing had one big jump, about 50 feet. anyway as for what i thought... the cascade jumps didnt have enough pop but were sized nicely. the barrel bonk was set up terribly high in the beginning but was lowered and fixed up. its still hard not to land flat after it. the big jump in tubing was actually pretty nice. i felt like it had good pop and size. my only complaint is the inrun for it. the last roller really throws you off right before you hit it. ...couple nasty crashes on it.
  2. i hear a nice size jump is being put in tubing as well. i feel like a bitch for missing today so i cant confirm that but thats what i hear. i will be up first thing in the morning
  3. thats a good way to start a peaceful discussion, calling out snowboarders....
  4. i had a lot of fun tonight. soft and slow but if you stayed in the right paths you had plenty of speed for anything
  5. shit ton of snow being blown, conditions should be great for saturday
  6. i actually like blues park too, other than some of their junk its fun. the top section of sidewinder last year was nice, same with the dfd and the bigger jumps. but anyway back to bc, stuff wasnt as bad as i expected tonight and what snow they have is holding up well. hopefully they will blow around the clock now to please justin.
  7. ...i want to start off by saying it may be better for everyone if you stay away from bear creek. you can take your shitty assed attitude somewhere else. 2nd of all, its your fault for going to bear creek and expecting a whole lot since its been a good 2 weeks since they have blown snow. it w as also one of the busiest nights of the year and the snow they still have left is pretty unworkable. I highly doubt the lift stopped 7 times in 2 rides, i ride there every day and it rarely stops more than once every couple rides. oh and the mud and rocks you rave about are easily avoidable. give blue and bear some quality blowing time and we will see who makes a better park. i would feel even worse for bear creek passholders if you were a regular skier there. oh and stop being a cheap piece of shit and buy a lift ticket to help support a local mountain.
  8. nah dude, deer hunter is the sickest game going... what we really need is some cold weather
  9. i was up this morning and coverage was surprisingly good, snow was granular/ corn snow type shit but way better than i expected

    Gaper Day

isn't all christmas break gaper days?
  11. everything was beat to shit tonight, i guess thats what i get for going at 6:30 though
  12. i see next weeks blowing period as more of a recovery then a stockpiling
  13. tell me about it, it really sucks when your gapping to the middle down rail and as you come over you see some gaper standing there. i usually have a friend clear the landing out for me
  14. can you even hit the big staircase, i assume your one of the kids that clogs up the side? and where they put that thing is pretty limited, thats prolly the best spot i can think of
  15. did anyone catch the fight this afternoon? i walked up right at the end...by the amount of blood on the kids' faces and in the snow it looked like a good one
  16. that was pretty nasty. good work
  17. ...was up from 9-4 today, conditions were soft but fast. lips were nice and landings were pretty good. some brown spots but actually nice snow and a really fun day.
  18. its snowboarding man, who cares. it shouldnt be terrible, it will prolly get icey and the landings will be getting worse but still...just go
  19. not bad today, blowing snow last night was a big help. some of the landings were awful, like the flat box.
  20. so this morning was a sheet of ice with a groomed strip. nothing park crew could do. things started to soften up as the day went on and became hittable besides the flat-down and the flat box
  21. yeah i cant imagine they got too much worse from this morning until tonight
  22. rain is the shit, fast and soft snow and no crowds. i look forward to rainy days. well not really but i accept them. oh and nick is right a down box would be prime. it has to be urban unlike what they had setup before to limit the number of people hitting it and chewing up the landing. i'll report back tomorrow about how the base is holding up.
  23. ouch man i hate to hear that. hope for a speedy recovery.
  24. there is no need for this thread
