My buddy Travis (k2rider) and i went up to Bear Creek to check out whats going on. It wasnt really planned so I didnt take a camera but I did manage to snap a bunch of camera phone pics. We couldn't find any new features for the park mainly due to all of the construction and construction/security personel around. Anyway, here are the pics: The New Hotel. (from the white section and over to the right) A shot of the hill, construction going on in tubing and what appears to be some sort of trail to the left of cascade. Another one of the hill, you can see dirt being dug up between lower blackbear and the main ski trail. they are planned to be separated permanently. The new pond. It is huge! Same pond, opposite angle. BC's new huge water supply, still needs filled though. The grooming fleet, plus a few others they had around. Nice flatbox. looked new but it could just be in good shape from this past year. The rainbow, which was in the stone parking lot. Travis(k2rider) and a friend. "Hurry and get off, here comes security" Anyway sorry about the shitty quality, camera phone.

Tyler replied to darklordofsys's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
just a tip, dont let all the assclowns on this board scare you away from a camelback trip...i have had fun the times ive been there. granted there are things we all hate about camelback, but its got decent terrain but the park blows. -

i think you are making the right decision noob. my home mountain, bear creek, is about 20 minutes from my house. and although it may not have the biggest vert and best lifts, it is convienent, the people are nice, and i'm used to it. im sure you will find the extra time on the slopes is way better than spending that time in your car. -
haha yeah let us know when youre there...how old are you phil?

any improvement in your park skiing??
-
it was actually a pretty good year. besides the slow start, we had a looong stretch of very cold temps and the season went fairly late.
-
its still early. i'm surprised they realeased the pass prices so soon.

i think i paid 259 for a youth unlimited last year through my school. the youth unlimited is listed as 305 so we will probably get them through school for about 275-280. still reasonable
