im gonna have to agree with you on this one. I personally wouldnt mind a sat. opening. not only b/c i cant go friday but they extra day of blowing on thursday night and friday to groom and prepare for a saturday morning opening. the less days the snow is ridden on the better it will hold up for mlk weekend.
oh and live2snowboard, there is a reason BC has to close before and cant blow as early as the pocono resorts. before you start complaining next time take into consideration that BC is the southernmost "pocono" resort and often has to wait for their water supply to cool down
Bear Creek's update for today:
Snowmaking Has Returned! Colder than predicted temperatures last night (low 27F, 67% humidity) have allowed for good production after 2AM! We also anticipate good snowmaking tonight and Wednesday night!
I dont know about opening this weekend, i guess we will know after the next two nights
they are firing away on cascade, and they already have a lot of ground covered, black bear is a different story
Edit: They dont have a lot of ground covered, just nice size patches
what if the forecast changes and the rain changes course, now BC has lost their chance. With the way this winter is going, they will take any chance they get.
