Thats what threw me off then. I was going by what was on the conditions page and it only showed the bunny lift and the Phoebe Snow to be open.

Not that I've been there since opening day, but i'm kind of disappointed in what looks to be open there. Most mountains are nearing 100% and Sno hardly has anything open as of right now. I really can't see any good reason for this. If everyone else can do it why aren't we even moving forward in a trail count?

Well thanks for the encouragement guys. I'm not really looking for a performance boot I guess, I'll probably go the route of rentals for a few times. The only reason I'm even going to skiing is because Tussey is such a joke of a mountain I made a deal with some people that when we went the snowboarders would learn how to ski and the skiers would learn how to snowboard. There are only so many times you can bomb 350 verts and slide a flat box before you want a little more thrill

Its stuff like this that makes me a little apprehensive about trying to make the crossover this year.

The pass system at Boulder is pretty weird. You get a card and each day you have to take it into the office and get a lift ticket.

I always thought that was one of the weirdest things Sno did when they came in. Whistler was always a trail that you felt lucky if there was enough snow and you ducked the rope to hit. The really weird thing about Whistler being a priority is that it doesn't have any lights. It gets a little spillover from some of the tall tower lights, but not a single one actually on that trail.

You should be ok. Snow overnight and tomorrow morning and they do a great job of clearing it here.

There it is in a nutshell As for current weather, its raining here, a lot of it is freezing onto cars and buildings, its supposed to switch over to snow tonight and by morning we are looking at between 1 and 3 inches.

Just a quick idea, if the tarp could potentially have some sort of gutter system on the edges, I would suggest drilling a small hole through the snowpack and funneling the water down through it (with a sleeve in the snow of course) so that all the water that lands on a whale will go right under the snow and into the ground causing the least amount of damage possible. I would suggest a long inflatable tube on the edge of the tarp. When inflated it would cause a little gully between the edge of the tarp and it, giving the water somewhere to pool and then drain. Kinda makes me want to draw something up but I've got wayyy too many lab reports to take the time.

45 here and the rain stopped early in the morning. The mountains have snow and they all are set to weather the warm spells. Might as well enjoy going to class and not freezing for a day!

Anyone else notice that gear attack doesn't tell you the price for each item? Just tells you the MSRP and then the percentage off. If i was ambitious enough to do the math I wouldn't be on a website that lets me check everything that fast.

I guess I have a bad memory. I love tracking early openings, but it doesn't mean much for me because I'm stuck at school.

Since when has December 9th been "this early"? Its not like they are the only place open. Everyone, even the really small guys like Tussey are open now.

Ok, well as these are only very temporary.

I for one am not very happy about the new hours. When I'm home for break they are essentially taking away any shot of me riding during the day. I would much prefer to hit up the mountain in the morning and then have the rest of the day rather than have to go at 3. And even on Saturday, whats up with this whole 9 to 9 thing? Thats an hour shorter every night and 9 am to me seems pretty late for a ski area to open.

These TRs are getting my stoke levels up like crazy. Just a week and a half til I'm on the snow!
