I"ve got a yellow Oakley lens and would never think of riding at night without it.

I agree with Glenn. Welcome to the board LJJ. Hope you have a good time here and don't get scared off by some of our antics. Keep up the stoke and remember to practice smartstyle, post up good trip reports and vote for GrilledSteezeSandwich in the 2008 PASR Staff Elections.

I tried to put this in my above post but I think I hit submit too early. If you're downgrading Cannonball to a double square then I guess lower fasttrack and runaway are single squares now. Seriously Sno, this is a terrible danger to everyone on the mountain. The way Cannonball is meant to be skied is by advanced skiers and riders ripping down the entire length of the trail. It is most fun when skied for a grand total of 35 seconds. Anyone crowding headwalls is putting themselves right in the line of high speed projectiles. If you haven't noticed, the headwalls on this trail are just begging to be aired off of. It is going to be impossible to tell someone like myself who has been doing this for 10 years to stop. Bumped up headwalls (which are caused by people turning and traversing) will cause people who are going straight down them to get seriously hurt. A beginner going 5 mph and tipping over can get banged up, but someone like myself and other members of this board who ski the trail properly are going to receive much worse injuries. The straight facts are that you can see very little of this trail at any given time while you are on it. To put something totally out of the norm i.e. beginner skiers/boarders and potentially bumps because of them is equivalent to throwing speed bumps on the other side of a turn on I-81.

Thats terrible about Cannonball. That trail should definately be a diamond. Also, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DOUBLE SQUARE. I thought CB was the only place to do this but wow, this really sucks. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN AT SNO MOUNTAIN: PLEASE KEEP THE TRAIL RATINGS THE SAME AS THEY HAVE BEEN

I liked the edit, you guys did a great job with what you were given by CB. Anyone know if they plan on opening Rhodo anytime soon? I'm probably going to be hitting up CB in the not so distant future.

A PASR day at Sno would be awesome, but how long is it going to take to open the whole place. I haven't been up there yet thanks to boulder's $10 wednesdays and the whole Christmas thing.

Its college night at boulder and looks like a pretty good opportunity to head up and check out what they did with the parks. So who else is going to be there? 1. Schifdawg (Mike)

Nice TR and nice pics guys. Even though I've only been there once, Stowe is my hands down favorite place to ride on the east coast. Looks like you got a nice weekend to go out there with all the snow. Here's my obligatory Stowe shot from last year.

Sorry to hear about the crash. Get well soon buddy!! On a lighter note, I think we found the person who can sit in the lodge and pass out tickets at PASR day

And you can't play golf in lightning storms either but no one ever cancels a tourney round because a "chance" of a storm. Open the mountains and close if you need to when the lighting shows up. Did anyone in the tannersville area see lightning today? I didn't see anything here by sno. If substantial lightning showed up at 5:01 I would say it was justified, otherwise no way. What if the storms stayed off until 8 or 9 or 10?

Why do you have to stop people? Couldn't the patrolers just ski the trail and see what kind of conditions are there?
-
I just ordered a new snowboard, I don't need 2 more.
-
I'll be back in the Poke n Hoes by then
-
Where are these things exactly? I"m out here at Penn State.
-
That sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I'll have to try to duck out of work early on Wednesdays and head up
-
So whats in the park? I know it got changed around, but the webcam doesn't work.
-
Thats great? Since when? Well have fun out there roundtop, and don't forget to post a trip report about the packed poe and the caesar salad.

^^ Its too bad he forgot about his boots, poles, and skis. :rofl

Nice perk for unlimited pass holders
Schif replied to RidgeRacer's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
I think it works at Blue because of the shape of the mountain itself. Besides the base area and the access point at the upper lodge, the snow really isn't readily accessible. At any other mountain they would have to put up a huge amount of fencing and/or walls to keep people from just walking to the snow. It probably wouldn't be too cost effective, and it would look terrible. -

Why not have the plastic card be the pass. When I was up at Killy, that seemed to be what the passholders had. -
Eh, I've had khaki colored pants for a while now and they still look great. I wanted new ones at the end of last year because they looked dingy, but when I got them to start this year they looked brand new. The moral of the story, if you have a good mom, you can rock whatever color you want.

I don't see it on there

Pretty simple, Warm temp is for warm days, cold temp is for cold days, universal is for whenever. It will usually say on the packaging what temps the wax is good for. If you use cold wax when its 40 out, you're going to go slower. In the same regard if you use warm wax when its below zero it will again affect your speed.

I'm no crazy park rat, but I like hip jumps and stuff to stall on. They're things you don't see every day, but in my opinion are a lot of fun.

Just that "wintry mix" stuff here. Its mostly freezing rain I guess but I haven't been outside yet. It kind of looks like a zamboni has just driven over every road and sidewalk, but it snowed in all the grass.
