What a day yesterday. Hard to beat times like those. Next level fun coming at you from all sides and just when you thought you could rest you get hit with the best bacon wrapped poppers I've ever had in my life. 12/10 day, might have been 15/10 if the weather was like Saturdays but still one of the most fun days ever. Now we've got a week to hit Lowe's and get some good lumber put together for Pond Skimming. Also important to note that all tables survived yesterday.

I know it's like herding cats but we should try to do a group photo tomorrow.

Any need for me to bring a tailgate grill? I have it ready to go if needed.
-
Just a thought, unless you're going for some deep tracks kind of beers, the Wegmans in KOP and I'll assume MALVERN too has Levante on the shelf all the time.
-
What are the odds of you strapping the skis to the back and driving to Blue on your trusty mower? That would be the most Epic/Ikonic entrance possible
-
If I brought double crust white pizza would people turn up their nose if the inside was a blend of cheese and broccoli? Or should I just go with cheese?
-
Once you cross the 2 hour threshold is it really that day trippable on a regular basis though?

I hate that I did it but I bit the bullet and bought the pass last night. I honestly was really on the fence this year. @skiincy didn't want to buy one out of spite. I got a new credit card to go to Dubai with that didn't actually get here in time so I used it to buy the Blue pass which in turn gave me 0% interest and a $200 statement credit. Using the classic Ski 2 Live logic I was able to justify the price of a Blue pass this year because I got a bunch of money off of it buying it this way and also can pay it off whenever I feel like it. Suck it Blue for "Not leaving money on the table". You got me this year but might not have me forever. Their pricing team is on thin ice

I'll be there!

I'll be up in NEPA this weekend, would we want some pizza? I know it's already been done once.

The community is definitely a big help too. I feel pretty confident that most of the time I'm at Blue there's someone I know there. Not only is it cool that ski/ride with friends but as weird as it sounds it's kind of reassuring that if something goes very very wrong out there I'll likely have a friendly face around to help me. If I went Epic pass only and went to Jack Frost and went down in the trees I think it would be a worse situation to be completely alone.
-
I did think about that actually but realistically how long/how many times can I head up to NEPA for a weekend and ski a smaller, less diverse mountain with slow lifts and really enjoy it? Montage was/is amazing if you live really close and can pop in after work, ski the whole North Face once and head back home for dinner. Not sure it's a week after week destination if you need to drive. My goal next year is to enjoy my weekends here in PA and do at least one decent sized western trip, maybe two.

It's time to buy a pass and honestly it's not as easy to do this year as in past years. I think $650 is the tipping point for people like me that live farther away. $650 is still a no brainer for someone within a 30 minute drive of Blue but it starts to get untenable for someone like me who's a weekend warrior and hopes to not be too busy for a few RAWS. Especially with all the other pass options out there for New York, Indy, Epic and Ikon it actually is more to think about than I thought. Any thoughts from the Philly and Philly burbs guys?

SharCootery works late on Saturdays at the Just Enuff Lounge.

Would be cool if some of the Elk guys came down!

Ask them about the date for the rescheduled 2020 season passholder party
-
Emphasis on the collapse part

Looks like a good day for some uphill! WTGAI!
-
Should I plan on bringing an entree, appetizer, dessert or breakfast? I'll probably go to Breaker brewing for some beverages and maybe some Champagne
-
I'm planning on at least 2 more weeks at Blue. Can't think of any reason not to at this point.
-
I had surprising success with frozen pancakes at a tailgate last fall.
-
Low key for you is still more food than I have on Thanksgiving
-
Sunday is definitely looking like the better day at this point in terms of weather. They might not even be open on Saturday if current forecast holds

Not as disappointed I had to miss today now. I was watching the webcams and it looked pretty empty
