Snowing HARD here, sticking to everything and making walking on the non heated sidewalks a pain. Its at the point where I wish I had my goggles when I go to class.

Open or not this is my first new years being 21. Have fun on the slopes without me guys.

Snowed most of the day here. Covered pretty much everything with maybe a quarter to half inch in the grass and slick white sidewalks. Very windy too. The thing that killed me was all the people blatantly disregarding the weather. I walked behind some idiot today in flip flops and then almost fell over laughing when a girl who had sweatpants rolled up to her knees told her friend that she was cold. :rofl Its days like these that I'm glad I'm a snowboarder. 30 degrees with flurries is like a sauna compared to Saturday at Killington. Learn how to layer and have the right gear and life is good in the winter.

I've always thought this would be a good idea but I don't think theres much of a chance it will ever happen. I'd like to see a mountain with a stepped pricing system. Such as: We charge $ for a certain amount of available terrain, $$ for a larger amount of terrain $$$ for even more and $$$$ for the whole place. This would be a nice thing to do for the customers, and it would encourage the mountain to open more terrain to make more money per ticket.

While being extremely cool I'm not sure how worhwhile it would be to do this. Travel expenses to all 4 resorts, lift tickets, cameras, skis, it all adds up to some major $$$$. I can't imagine that you would be making all that much profit when all is said and done.

I had one pair of burton bindings and will never go back. The straps broke a few times, it was a generally weak design for what I paid and during normal riding I had a highback straight up snap off Absolute junk bindings If it wasn't one problem it was another. I got new K2s and have never looked back.

You never know who a drunk person is going to be. I know a few people that are happy and goofy and pretty smart 99% of the time, but when they get drunk they want to fight everyone within 3 blocks.

I was going to start a thread or something about this but it works here. There are actually going to be 3 PASR's heading up on the trip this weekend.

I've actually been wondering about this myself. I've been in the, and I'm using the term extremely loosely, "back country" where they are cutting the new trails. The top part is wide open and easily turned into trails, the bottom half however is heavily contoured, rocky, includes some huge boulders and outcrops and the terrain is just not suitable for trail right next to the existing ones. I've had to hike out of that area on a few occasions because I just couldn't get back on a board. I'm curious whether they will attempt to grade this area or simply reroute the trails around the large knoll in question.

The lights were on when I was coming home a little while ago.

I just went out to rake leaves in a sweatshirt and it was wayyy too warm for that. No garuntees on what I'll be wearing on the snow today, definately tan pants and red A-frames though.

Stowe was open right? Thats really cool that they would let you hike on mansfield before it opened and not have to buy a ticket. That kind of thing would never fly in PA. Nice going. Great TR. Great story and great pics.

I was thinking about heading up on tuesday, but if there are gonna be a bunch of PASRs on wednesday maybe i'll go then.
