He's just getting excited for the big day tomorrow!
-
If its just going to be mainline/whistler. I really hope we've got some NF action though. I need some cannonball/lightning in my life after so long. I really hope they don't plan on renaming trails.

I'll definately be there tomorrow!! I can't wait. So who else will be there? 1. Me

I'll be there tomorrow morning.

They do have a few intense commericals You can watch a bunch of them on the website.
-
CB folks sure are touchy.
-
You put Alpine in there but not Monage/Sno.

I've got my fingers crossed as much as everyone else. Why not start Nastar with just part of raceway? Raceway is one of the widest slopes in the area. I mean Montage was able to do Nastar on a trail that was 1/4 as wide as raceway and also split in half for a terrain park.

It was crazy at Boulder the other night. I couldn't tell if I was on the slopes or a streetcorner in Philly.

As of last night this is what the parks at Boulder have got in them. In order of appearance top to bottom. Freedom Park: A. nice flat box on the right, tree trunk wall-ride on the left. B 2 jumps, the left one is a little bigger than the right. C. A cool log jib up on a hip shaped mound of snow. D. Nice sized single table E. Down rail on the right, down box on the left. F. Really wide box on the right, narrower box on the left. Widow Park: A. straight flat rail B kinked rail on the right, streetstyle round rail on the left. C. Straight flat rail. D. big booter jump E. Big booter jump D. Huge battleship box on right, huge A-frame rail on left. E. some kind of crazy huge mailbox put sideways to bonk. The boulder park was being put together when I was there, but seeing as things may change (and I only rode by it once on the lift) I won't post exactly what was in there, but there were a ton of huge streetstyle rails, and the kickers were enormous.

Wow, the almighty Blue has finally succumbed to the weather.
-
And because tickets work on both mountains, an all park hill at boulder would actually work. Does anyone know why they don't have lights?
-
Conversely, many people could say the exact opposite. Especially at Boulder. I've always been more of a free rider, but at boulder I get bored very quickly on those trails. Boulder Park was a fun trail to rip down last night, but thats really it for fun non-park trails up there.

I definately think I saw you ski. I thought it was you when you walked by me and my buddy in the parking lot, but I've seen a lot of people in orange helmets lately (still not sure why) so I wasn't 100% sure.

I've got a Razr and love it. As far as I know they only work with bluetooth headsets though. I've got a few wired headsets lying around but can't connect them with the Razr.

Hi Mrs. T. From your description of what you want I've got a mixed answer for you. As of right now for skiing/riding I would definatley recomend Jack Frost/Big Boulder. A ticket at either mountain is also good at the other for that day. The snow is good there, there are more trails open and it is less expensive than Camelback which has been getting some bad reviews this year. (There are a number of threads about what they've done.) Unfortunately as of right now neither Boulder or Frost has a tubing park open. Things may change between then and now but to go snowtubing camelback is your only place.

That tidbit is pretty interesting actually. Thanks YummerzZz. Does anyone know how many feet the other lifts that don't go all the way to the top do?
-
I was just about to log last night's riding at boulder but when I went to the list of verts for PA mountains it didn't seemt to be working, kind of like Doug's editing. Anyone have numbers for Boulder?
-
Sorry ski, I don't think I'll be able to do that. I'll probobly be sitting in the cell next to you that night still wearing my boots.

I totally agree with the wayy too many people there tonight. It was absolutely packed when I got there just before 4. I never had to wait long for a lift, but the trails were just packed with people that were so obviously on vacation from Ny and Jersey. Parks were crowded, but decently maintained. Park crew definately showed a presence. Merry Widow was good, but being my second day I didn't hit any of the jumps there. Just the one rail at the top and the battleship at the bottom, which was pretty sweet. Freedom park was pretty good, some nice rails and boxes and the jumps were nice to ease into the season on. I definately saw nipples there today. I was chilling and waiting for the box at the bottom of freedom park and someone yelled "nipples", It was definately him, but was gone by the time I hit the box. I was up in a black hoodie and no hat if anyone saw me.
