This is just one messed up situation. They were trying to work in a very limited time frame and get everything done. We're now seeing that its just not enough time for an early opening. You can't blame anything for this later opening besides Washo at this point.

Was there any action on the North Face? There are a lot of changes up there, but its nice to see that they didn't do a lot to change the way the site is updated.

Thats Sick DH, can we get more details on it? What was it like to ride with those guys? I'm sure it pushed you like crazy.

The reduced rate thing makes sense in a way, but if you take into account how little time out of the year you can actually turn on snow guns I dont think it would be an issue.

I find that pretty hard to believe. Why are the other mountains allowed to blow during the day?

That same thing happened to me at Killington last year. I guess when I fell the ticket ripped off of the zip tie thing at one point. They weren't really checking hard so I don't know how long I went without it before they caught me. The guy at the lift just wouldn't let me ride it, they didn't want to get me in trouble or anything. I went to the lodge and explained it and they printed me in new one. Total time off the snow was less than 10 minutes.

Great news. I'll definatley be making an appearance up there this year, probobly during Christmas break.

Is there a huge difference in the way skiers like things set up as opposed to boarders?

Its kind of funny, but I'd rather have someone shooting for the stars than just sitting back and throwing something together.

Word on the street is that ITC is this weekend and they'll open soon after. Too bad none of the PASR homey's are cool enough to ski the Tbump with me.

On a tip from pyro, I went to his part of campus where you can see Tussey clealy. Looks like Utah is covered top to bottom, side to side, not sure how deep it is but its something. The site doesn't say anything yet but maybe I'll get some turns before I come back to the Pocs.

Those are some weird trails to start blowing on. I'm sure they've got them going on highball or mainline too, I can't ever remember a mountian around here opening without a green. I guess this shows that they're putting an emphasis on skiing the whole 1000 vert by blowing that side.

Don't have much of a choice if you hang around for any lenght of time.

Well the trip is officially cancelled. I don't think they're going to reschedule either, just a full refund.

I wonder what this means for the PSU trip? I'm gonna have to find out soon.
