The swingset actually looks pretty cool from that pic on the site. The only concern I had was that rainbow boxes are usually wayyyy too steep at the beginning and end and i've got to jump off 5 feet early to land. That doesn't seemt o be a problem so this should be awesome.

I only know of the 2 Ice Boxes, theres one in Pittston and one in Scranton. The one in Pittston has 2 rinks so more ice there. I've never tried to get shavings from them but I do know a few hockey guys.

Thats what I'm most afraid of. If the K1 goes down, thats the only access to the top. I wish there was some kind of warning I could get so that I could stay up there and ride the other lifts without coming all the way down and getting stuck.

Yeah I just saw that on their site. I can't believe they wouldn't have enough snow for a rail jam though. I mean its only 2 rails, jfbb did that with hardly anything last week.

Most places have early season rates. I mean come on, would you want to pay full price if a theme park only had a fraction of their rides open? Eh, it does include a premier, but the last one I went to was free, and came with a few free extras of its own.

Is it really feasable to try to build there? Sure the top of the mountain, and the area around the lodge would work, but the majority of the land is still severly sloped. I can't see any economical way to develop the North Face. Maybe if you put something on the flatter sections between headwalls up top, but thats about it. If they really want to make money off of this why not just build at the top? Offer slopeside living or condos or whatever. There is a ton of room past the slopes on the top of the hill, go for it there, I'm sure you can make a ton of money and you can throw in the fact that you live on a ski hill for good measure, kind of like a Northridge type deal.

I've never held a job during the winter. Between school and sports there was barely any time for snowboarding anyway. There was no way I was sacrificing the time I had left for a job.

I haven't heard anything. Today's photo on the website shows some re-grading and fence fixing in the terrain park, but thats about it.

So is BB the only place to have confirmed snow in the air? It kinda looked like blue was blowing on the webcam but I'm not really sure. Has anyone heard from Elk yet? They usually have the rest of the state by a few degrees. Tonight though snowmaking is not possible because of humidity up there, but I'm sure we'll see them firing them up soon.
