I tell ya, you gotta watch out for those gangs. One of my homies almost got caught up in a ski-by last season.

I'm a big fan of everything except the name. Sno Mountain just seems a little cheezy. I mean every mountain has "sno" on it. Keep it the same!

Come on, this stuff just isn't meant for this particular board. I know that for some people its fun to go on message boards and just say whatever they want to people. This is not how PASR works, its not a nameless/faceless site. There is a core group of members that treat this board as if they were all sitting down together talking skiing/riding. There is no need for flaming and attacks. If you want to do that there are plenty of other boards, it you want to get the best insights into skiing and riding in pa then stay here.

Exactly. CB is the last place I'd expect park passes.

Those are the best woods in the world after some good snow. The best part is that since its hard to get to, they stay fresh for a long time. I hope that doesn't get messed up from a better long haul.

How much would a new A-frame lens go for from a shop or online?
-
Nice job guys. I've been wondering what kind of sites were out there other than proctorjones. I'm off to the internet marketplace now.

Thats the nice part about Montage, they could put permanant slides over by the concerts, and never have to take away from the mountain. I really hope this sale goes well. Some better snowmaking and maybe a high speed quad would really turn the place around. Hopefully they've got better ad guys than the creators of Jimmy and Johnny. We might actually get tourists.
-
Do you mind telling me where you got that one so I can go and, uh, yell at that guy.
-
There was just a story on Newswatch 16 about Montage. Apparantly they took a loss of $900,00 dollars last year. Some of that was due to it beign warm, but in the past 2 years they've lost around 2 million. County Comissioiners now realize that its "a vital part of the economy, but should not be county owned". No new buyer yet, but hopefully we'll get something going.

I love going to Red Barons games. Especially 50 cent Hot Dog night. I'll have to go and buy a hot pretzel from your stand montageskier.
-
Why would you have to go to Montage with a rail? Couldn't you find any area of public land and hit a rail, a whole mountain isn't nescessary.

Respect him or not (I personally don't) he's still a spectacle of baseball and no matter what happens I'd like to be able to say I've seen him play.
-
You would get the chance to see Barry Bonds though......

What size boot do you have TP4? I've got a 12 and I think I'm stuck with a wide, but if you can pull off a midwide maybe there is hope.

All that stuff looks awesome for the camp. I wish I could go. One question though, it looks like its just a big open thing, are there any lifts or tows or are you hiking all week?

I'm looking at the Salomon Patrol for next year. Its a wide board. Anyone have any input?

I had the K2 Clickers for 2 seasons, I got the ones with the high back and I liked them. I got new bindings/boots because I grew out of the old boots and they stopped making them. Not a big deal, step ins are almost extinct now anyway. As for burton gear, I got burton bindings after I got rid of the step ins and I've had problem after problem with them. In 2 years I've had 2 broken toe straps, a blown out highback (can't even begin to guess how the hell that happened) and the whole thing ices like crazy and is unresponsive. I'm going to anything but burton next year. I still like their boards though.

I was going more for the look of it rather than an actual H-beam. We've got one of these set ups at work and it struck me as looking pretty cool. I'll try to get a pic of it. Even if you fabricated it out of somethign completely different, it would still be something cool in a park, it looks cool, but is essentially a straight box. Just my 2 cents
-
I've got an idea for a rail, tell me what you guys think. You get an H-beam, and build up some earth/snow at either end of it. It could be however high you wanted it to be, and have nothign underneath it. It would be flat and wide on top like a box, but have a cool and unique look to it. Not sure how well iron would slide, but maybe make it out of a different material or cover the top with something.

Sweet video. You guys are pretty good.

That is an amazing pic, more dramatic cuz you have to scroll all over it. I definately need to get up there.

I had a lot of fun in JFBB's parks this year. They're really the only reason I ever go up there. The trails are short and somewhat lacking in my book.

True, but the Penn State snowboard club runs a trip up there ever winter.
