Good one Ski'! -
QUOTE(Papasteeze @ Mar 15 2006, 07:54 PM) To have fun by annoying you. If people are dumb enough to drink and anything, then that is their perogative. Besides, it is fun to watch. Its fun to watch for a little while, but its not fun to have to clean up their mess. especially if that mess is their injured body on the snow.

Don't bash mountains for selling beer. I know and you know that its a terrible idea to drink and ski. You've got to face it though that we're not the ones spending the big bucks in the bars. For weekenders a trip to the poconos is 25% skiing 25% relaxing and 50% drinking. The ones who take advantage of the bars will be the ones who take maybe 5 runs a day, and spend the rest enjoying themselves in the lodge. And yes you are hilarious Metz

Actually I'm pretty sure the groomers don't need them. I went by Jack Frost after a while spent over at Big Boulder and saw the groomers out and about. Jack Frost doesn't have any lights. The light thrown off by the groomers was plenty to work with even in the pitch dark. -
I've often thought about situations like this. When I'm on a lift I look up sometimes when I hit a tower. All there really is, is a set of wheels. They are slightly indented to hold the cable, but thats it. Why not just have something on either side of the wheels that would prevent derailings? This would keep lifts running when there are wind advisories, and keep accidents like this from happening.

Better Ways to the Spend the Money than the 6-Pack

You've got to look at main routes from top to bottom. CB has more than Blue. -
Not a bad idea. Preserve what you have for as long as you can have it.
-
I can't believe cb didn't even do a discounted ticket thing. Everywhere else has had a discount, and blue has the spring fling. cb is still at full price. This is why they did not recieve my business over spring break.

Delete that quick before Doug decides to use it as his avatar.

Do you think they thought of all of this and are planning more trail expansion in the next few years? Its definately huge overkilll now, but if they cut a few more trails it would be justifiable. I got there around 2 too steveo. I liked the jumps and a few of the rails in big boulder, but in general it was a little big for me (i'm still new to the freestyle scene). I loved the other park and was killing all the rails there all day. I had a red t-shirt on and a neon orange base if you saw me at all.
-
I never thought I'd see the words "elk" and "slopestyle" in the same sentence. Props to them and anyone who competes!!
-
I really liked that about big boulder. And even the smaller park (that was out of control concidering what I'm used to) had a sign that limited beginner lift tickets in that park. You were at boulder saturday steveo? I was too, there were only 10 people there so i probobly saw you.

I'll give it to them that they have a cool site. I've never seen any of them though so I can't really say much more. Maybe I should name me and my friends....... Bumble Beez, Rictor Scale, Jeff and Doug's Lonely Hearts Club Band..............................
-
That'll do it. Myspace tells all.
-
Has anyone else seen this. It seems like a majority of the lifts at Montage have "Rictor Beez" written on them. Does anyone know who or what this is all about? Rictor Beez and a mushroom are almost as prevalent as the numbers on the phobe snow.
-
I thought they were identical. Which jump is longer, the left or right?
-
I know, its such a great deal, I'm going to shoot up and take advantage of it in a little while.

This is great, Ski999 returns and Hilarity Ensues!! Welcome back again Ski, and doug, watch out for those riding up on you, you might want a thong for the speed suit.
-
Looks like a lot of fun. Ski999 Welcome Back!!! good to see you back on the board. Are you coming to tomorrow's PASR day?
-
Ok, its the night before. Do we have a meeting place/time for tomorrow's PASR day.
-
I might have to hit up blue in a t-shirt.
-
While that may happen, you've got to realize who it will be. There won't be any n00bs there at all. Just diehards who know the rules. You won't have tons of people rolling over lips and getting in the way. Non park people will hopefully stick to the sides.
-
Thats what they want you to think.
-
Thats so cool that they will leave the park open. Do you think they will take snow from other trails to keep it going longer?
