What exactly happened to it?

This race is getting pretty big. My bookie is even taking some bets on this bad boy. I'm going to throw my money (roughly $0.50) on Jeff. Nothing against Doug though. I wish I was able to be there tonight. Good luck guys.

I don't really agree with the whole park pass thing, but something has to be done about ettiquite. The park at CB was rediculous today. There were a decent amount of people who were just fine, but there were a few that were terrible. I was cut off for a jump (even though I clearly called my drop) by a girl who rolled over the lip. I avoided a few rails because of people. The absolute worst came when I was waiting for the second jump in laurel glade. I'm up the trail a ways trying to get more speed and hopefully more air. Below me there are a few people waiting closer to the hit. They were taking way too long but thats not even the issue. Out of nowhere I hear "DADDY I'M GOING TO DO IT". Well this can't be good. A father and 2 little kids emerges from the side of the rainbow rail. They could have not been more than 5 yards above the jump. A little girl procedes to head at this jump from a dead stop. Needless to say she does not make it up. Instead of sliding backwards down it and ending the problem she has to take it one step farther. She begins to WALK!! in an outturned plow type way up the ramp of this jump. She teeters on the lip for a second, steps down and skis away as happy as can be. Her brother follows and procedes to do the same. Proud papa just stood there and took the whole thing in, skied around and collected his children. I don't claim to be a park rat at all, but these kind of things are just downright unacceptable. A lot of people may disagree, but everyone has the right to roll over a lip once. We've all got to learn. What happened today is just completely unnescessary.

Those pics really are amazing. I would love to live out there, but I would probobly never come off the slopes!

I know he was in the park last year. He did some awesome shots. Its kinda cool to have a photog there for a while in the park. It makes you want to be as smooth as possible every jump.

What did Montage loose?

Nice, we've got another Lion on here. Join the boarding club next year. Trust me its awesome. The Killington trip was possibly one of the most fun times of my life.

Yeah I'll be here tuesday. I'm home for 2 more weeks. Elk sounds good. I won't give you a garuntee because I'm not sure exactly what is going on but I do want to get out like crazy.

Does anyone know if Montage has a park crew like blue that will keep the place fresh all day?

I definately agree with you. The setting of Elk is enough to make me want to go there. Natural snow would of course be a huge help. Half the fun of elk is going off trail. I just love those long diamonds!

That snowmaking better get some more diamonds open before the upcoming PASR day there.

How has the snow quality at Montage been? I'll havn't been up there yet due to lack of terrain, but I'll be logging a bunch of days next week at good ol Montage.

Do you really think private ownership would help ski? The only improvements I would like to see would be more trails and a high speed quad. I really love Montage and the last thing I would like to see happen to it would to turn into something like Camelback.

You say that as if its a bad thing. Maybe there is no one there because Montage doesn't have a website anymore. All the people from the city think it closed down.

No more Time Travel?

Happy Winter Everyone!! Looks like PASR is up to its old time travel tricks again.

I just picked up my first hot wax last night. Its a Swix all temp and it says it can be used to rub on too. I'm going to go over to the Salvation Army later and pick up a cheap iron. If all goes well I'll have a fresh coat of wax for tomorrow at Blue.
