It's struggling to keep up again and I've had it set at a constant 74 unless I dip it down to 72. Depending on what the temp is when I get home tonight I might be calling the AC guy again.

This makes so much sense! Thanks!

I wonder why they never went through the process of reverse subdividing and made life easier for everyone by having fewer parcels.
-
I wonder if the parcels across the road and that little hill were transferred over to BMR LLC? Also, it mentioned that Tuthill Corp still owns and operates the sewage treatment plant. Is that near the snowmaking pond? If not I have no idea where that is.

Saying this makes me think about how Montage does trail races all over the mountain. That must be intense to run up a blue trail

These are fun facts

I'm impressed by your deep dive

Maybe this will inspire a new generation to go to school for 12 years to become pharmaceutical scientists and learn about drugs and vaccines down to the molecule so they have a full understanding of how they work. Eh that sounds like a lot. they'll probably just check out some social media instead.

That's pretty disappointing that you didn't see any planes, when you are at the one end of the runway on the trail they come right over your head. I hung out there a while back and watched them pick up and drop off banners once which was pretty cool.

What seems to be missing here is the business ownership being mentioned. The land seems to have been sold from one Barb Green company to another, probably just to consolidate everything since it seems like there were a bunch of parcels and other not so clear things, hence the 29 parcels and whatever else being sold for $1. So Blue Mountain Resorts LLC which is headquartered in Denver now owns all of the land of the resort, Barb is the CEO of that company. Did KSL buy the business of Blue Mountain but not the land? If that's the case then Barb gets some say in what KSL does on her land because she is leasing it to them to operate on.

Looks like you had a pretty great loop. I hope you got to hang out by the airport and watch planes for a while. That used to be a favorite spot of mine to walk or run. I would have guessed you were taking the back mountain trail, but it looks like you just went for it on the roads. Harvey's Lake is cool to check out but I would be concerned about biking around it. There have been enough bicyclists hit by cars on the road that circles the lake to make me think twice about riding it. I love how you go and explore new spots though! Keep getting after it!

How did you wind up there? Solid place though. My mom goes for giant cans of crushed tomatoes to make sauce

I'm not sure that pure case numbers are really a good indicator right now. I think both hospitalizations/cases would be a more useful metric at this point. And then break that down into vaccinated vs unvaccinated. My guess is that this metric would be very low.
-
I'm going tomorrow. There isn't anything on the website saying that masks are required but it recommends unvaccinated people wear one. There were hardly any masks at all when I went to a game a month or so ago.
-
Right? I really would love to figure out exactly what is going through some of these people's heads. I mean if you're willing to shell out cash for something you can realistically get for free or just photoshop yourself then you've got an extremely strongly held belief system which in some ways is admirable.

I'm posting this right now from a classroom at Villanova. No masks. The school built a secure portal where I had to upload my vaccine card by August 1 or I was dropped from my fall classes. The current policy is that all students need to be vaccinated unless you have a legitimate medical or religious exemption. If you are not vaccinated you'll be subject to regular testing throughout the year here.

It would be an absolute nightmare for colleges to go virtual again. I think the thing that shows that they won't is the fact that they've already sold tickets for full capacity football stadiums again. Colleges might put strict rules in place but they certainly won't send kids home 2 years in a row. She's at Arizona State right? Have they put a vaccine mandate in place or anything?

Seems pretty doable. Looks like some cool rustic looking resorts in southern Idaho and maybe a half days drive from SLC.
-
I want to get back to Utah as well and probably Colorado. Likely only time for one trip for me this winter though so lots of Blue time. I want to get out west during a time when I can actually get some snow though. Also I'm feeling a desire to go touring again.

It already is. The top part is Coming and the last headwall is called Soon

Upside, we are down to single digit deaths.

Which is why I'm wondering why they would put together something like this. Maybe my brain is poisoned by the fact that I'm deep into a Fixed Income class.
-
I like this theory. Perhaps 150k is the retainer. Though they would probably already have a corporate attorney. I like your idea of the lawsuit though. That went away shockingly fast.....
-
No need to hate it as it doesn't really change anything for us. If Camelback needs $150k soon to pay a bond then whatever. If the mountains can sell these ridiculous products to the wealthy city folks who want that "Poconos experience" then so be it. Let them make money from someone else and let us just ski.
