From what I understand about the current price of oil a lot of it has to do with speculation and futures and pricing reflecting the markets reacting to what looks like a return to normal consumption. Some of it is also due to the fact that there is an infrastructure bill on the table which would consume a ton of tar and diesel if we started building things.

I have no hopes to get a vaccine before ski season ends. Womp womp

What a shame. Razor's was absolute perfection a few days ago.

It makes you a cover model. Use that title to your advantage.

I think the fun part of this storm is that off trail the fresh snow is falling on an existing snowpack. It's going to make me feel a lot better about heading into the trees and not worrying completely what's under my feet.

Everything is completely up in the air but my hope is that my Thursday class is cancelled due to snow and I can duck out of work early for a RAW ROTS session if the roads allow.

You can deliver them since you've got extensive and regionally recognized print media delivery skills.

The question that has never been addressed from day 1 is what is our level of risk tolerance? Covid isn't going anywhere so what's our plan going forward with it? Every time in the past I thought "This won't fly" or "There's no way people will be OK with this for more than two weeks", it just keeps rolling along. This entire school year is pretty much shot and I have a bad feeling about a majority of schools reopening in a meaningful way in the fall as well.

I figured Coming Soon was Coming to an End yesterday. Glad I grabbed some more turns on it. Hopefully this next storm refreshes it back to skiable.

I like the chairs on the porch. They have character

Nothing but rain down here on my drive from KOP through MALVERN to Exton. More of a mist than anything. Mid 30s. No ice anywhere to be found.

Snow was pretty good today. Really weird to not see a bunch of PASRs. Did Coming soon withy Salty once but I was waiting at the Quad for him to come down behind me and he turned for the Sixer instead so I just rode solo. Good snow, pretty much no crowds. Goggle freeze sucked but wasn't terrible. Wished I could have stayed later but I have a bunch of homework I need to do today so I'm home already.

There are two people in my office who do this and it drives me insane.

I mean I would venture a guess that the risk will be very low this summer. A combination of people getting vaccinated, infected and getting outdoors will definitely help but from a policy perspective we have developed a society where bad things are not allowed to happen, period, I'm viewing this similarly to 9/11 in that a bad thing happened, we reacted (judge that reaction on your own) and decades later we still have the institutions brought on by that reaction and they aren't going away.

Saturday and Monday for me though I'll be watching the weather if there is some snow.

Masks will be around for years and for some individuals they will be part of their life forever. There is no "number" that we are shooting for in terms of infections when we think masks can go away and there wasn't really a "number" we hit when we decided that they were necessary. Just imagine being a governor or the CEO of a big public company. All hell will come at you if you're the first to say that people don't have to wear masks in your state and/or establishment. Rules are super easy to implement and we don't have a lot of precedent for taking them away. I'm guessing forced masking until at least 2023

Can you get one of them walking back from the helicopter? On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to edit a video to put an explosion in the background?
