  1. I think one of the things that help both Jack Frost and Big Boulder is the proximity to lots of vacation housing. I might be off on this since I don't go there very often, but in addition to Split Rock I thought a lot of the places around there were vacation houses people would spend their winters at which help to bring people in to those hills.
  2. They might not pay the tolls but sometimes they definitely take a long ride https://www.wnep.com/article/news/local/route-309-long-and-winding-pennsylvania-road/523-878142b1-2636-4385-9538-73e46444749b WNEP did this story a little while ago which I've actually been interested in doing myself. When I moved down to Hatfield and realized that Route 309 was the main thoroughfare, just like it was back in NEPA I started to get curious.
  3. Wow, what a report. Absolutely bonkers that that many people showed up. Guess that's the power of seeing snow in your own backyard.
  4. Montage likely got a decent snowfall. If this stuff compacts a little and we get another good storm the trees at Montage will be phenomenal and you can really go explore off the map
  5. $12.25 an hour honestly isn't terrible
  6. Someone stop the madness!
  7. How long are those lift lines taking?
  8. I can't imagine that wont' be thinned out a lot with the quad and six pack running though.
  9. Better make sure I get there bright and early this weekend.
  10. One of the weekend days, not sure which.
  11. Nothing but sleet in Philly for the past hour or so.
  12. When I was younger and would put in long sessions at Montage I used to drive down to the Shoppes at Montage in my snowboard boots and grab some food and head back up.
  13. 11.63 inches Lock it in
  14. What will you be measuring with? This could have a major impact too. Walking out with a yardstick and sticking it down? Or will you go out now and do the legwork to stick something in the ground pre-storm?
  15. Is this depth to the ground where those sweet sweet lines sit, or depth to the top of the current snow?
  16. So I've reserved myself to the fact that I won't get to enjoy a powder adventure at blue, but it's hard to not get excited when I see the stoke market rising. Snow totals only go up! Buy low sell high. Ding Ding Ding. Now I need to scope out some local hills and hopefully find some spots that won't ruin any gear. Hope it's enough snow to stay above the ground on.
  17. I'm not even excited for this. Not sure there will be much that's actually skiable from this. Which is lame.
  18. Hope all is well @Mixilplix!
  19. This is the kind of storm Coming Soon has been waiting for
  20. They might rush to open the 6 because it would allow them to sell more tickets. Or they could be content to do two weekends of limited operations to make sure things are going well with the new situation before expanding. Or they could do a completely different thing all together, but what do I know? I'm just a dude who slides down hills and drinks beer.
  21. If Blue goes full on country club the only one of us who would be allowed in with a dress code. He's the only one of us who wears khakis and polo shirts to ski.
  22. The place skied unexpectedly big with burma in play. Solid opening weekend.
  23. Where's the annual PASRs with a banner picture?
  24. Coverage looks pretty good. Glad you guys are getting after it!
  25. I would guess that they are operating under whatever class of business an amusement park or botanical garden is. Hersheypark and Longwood Gardens are both open
