Or they could be content to do two weekends of limited operations to make sure things are going well with the new situation before expanding. I would guess that they are operating under whatever class of business an amusement park or botanical garden is. Hersheypark and Longwood Gardens are both open

With a pass even when you add up gas, tolls, and a stop at Wawa it's still a lot cheaper to go skiing than it is to do most other activities.

I think they value not having to close the establishment they worked hard to open and lose their livelihood in the middle of a pandemic where the opportunity to get a new job is incredibly difficult now. I can just see both sides of the coin here

My question in terms of testing would be, what organization in the other states is performing the tests? It's my understanding that if you want a test you can go get one at a number of private providers. Are other states running state run testing centers? My only test so far since this whole thing started was mandated by Villanova who runs their own testing center.

The name Slocum is pretty cool in the NEPA region when you know the history. There is a state park called Frances Slocum up there that I've been going to since I was born. The story of the name is below: Frances Slocum The park is named for Frances Slocum, a young girl who was kidnapped by American Indians. Frances was one of ten children of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Slocum. This Quaker family lived on what is now North Street in Wilkes-Barre. On November 2, 1778, a small group of Delaware Indians entered the Slocum home and carried away Frances, who was five years old. The first night after her abduction was spent in a crude shelter under a rock ledge along Abraham Creek, believed to be within the state park boundary. She tried to escape during the first night but was quickly recaptured. Frances was taken along as the Delaware Indians moved westward and spent the rest of her life with them. Her brothers never gave up the search. Fifty-nine years after her abduction, they found her living on a reservation near Peru, Indiana. She had been married twice and had borne four children. Frances refused the pleas of her brothers to return to Pennsylvania. The brothers wrote to her and learned many of the details of her abduction and life with American Indians. Frances Slocum died in Indiana in 1847, at the age of 74. Mississinewa Lake in Indiana contains the Frances Slocum State Recreational Area and Lost Sister Trail. Along the Mississinewa River in Indiana, there is a monument that marks the final resting-place of Frances Slocum, also called Maconaquah, the “Young Bear.”

You're right it's the quad. I don't look at the cams much and just assumed that it was pointing at the 6 and didn't look very closely.

Just checked the webcams and not only are they cranking snow out still but the 6 is running for some reason. I hope they aren't using too many working hours on it now so it breaks as soon as they open it to us.

Facts. As a kid when I was just getting into snowboarding I would go up with local ski clubs and instead of doing any kind of carpool or just a drop off, all of us kids would get driven up there on Friday nights by our parents who would then all congregate in the lodge and hang out all night while the kids snowboarded. No parent ever skied a single run but every week 10 kids skiing meant 20 people taking up a big table in the lodge all night long.
