  1. Looks like there are 3 windows of below freezing temps next week but they seem to correspond with higher humidity. Not looking great for snowmaking but this is also just a forecast so who knows.
  2. Don't listen to this man. Cards are where it's at. Especially smart metal art cards.
  3. You know who is not embracing the love at Christmas time? This guy. He looks like an angry wizard with a wand.
  4. Are you going to host happy hour at the hotel house?
  5. I'm finding the uptick in cases in the northern tier very interesting. For the longest time those places were at 0 or 1 to 3 cases and now you're seeing slightly higher numbers. I wonder what changed up there. I have to guess that it's a combination of relaxed restrictions and probably higher testing but realistically the way of life for people in the most remote and rural places in Pennsylvania hasn't changed that much throughout this pandemic.
  6. We usually wind up on the back deck around the fire pit on all major holidays. The weather will either put a damper on that or I might be tasked with putting up a tent over it. We'll see how it goes.
  7. Party planning committees are surely being formed as we speak.
  8. Were any of the fish wearing masks?
  9. So I went on Montage's website to see if they had made any snow when I wasn't paying attention (they did not) and found something interesting when reading their snow report. Covid Safety Measures like Social Distancing in congregating areas (lines, lodge, bathrooms etc) and mask wearing will be in place this season. One major thing playing in our favor is our outdoor space. Additional food and beverage locations are being added outside near the top of the Northface to relax between runs and safely enjoy the post-run fun we all love It'll be interesting to see what they do there. It's been tried in the past to put things at the top of the North Face but it was always very much half assed. The current management seems to be doing things in an aesthetically pleasing way at the very least so it will be interesting to see what comes of this.
  10. I wonder if this is a way to use a control group to test their new systems/rules?
  11. I had no idea adidas made boots. You'll have to give us a review of them!!!
  12. The key takeaway from there is "self certify". Again, it's the honor system and unlike roadside farm stands I doubt people are going to be good about it in this situation.
  13. Anyone want to carpool this weekend?
  14. Crawford County, the county to the Northwest of Venango seems to be the culprit for the strange lines. In March 1829 the county was defined as: Beginning at the N. E. corner of a tract in the name of James Gibson on the line of Erie county, being the N. E. corner of [Cussewago Twp.]; thence south to the S. E. corner of a tract in the name of E. Spencer; thence east to the N. E. corner of Thomas Campbell's tract, on French Creek; thence across said Creek to the N. W. corner of A. Humes' tract; thence east along the north line of said tract and F. Rasburg's to the N. E. corner of the last; thence south to the N. W. corner of P. Eck's; thence E. to the N. E. corner of a tract in the name of G. Eck; thence north to the south line of a tract in the name of Israel Israel; thence east, north and west by the lines of sundry tracts to the S. E. corner of a tract in the name of N. Pryer or Ralph Snow; thence north to French Creek; thence across the same to the S. W. corner of a tract in the name of William McArthur's heirs; thence north by the same and donation land to the Erie County line; thence west by the said line to the place of beginning. Looks like they were taking into account tracts of land along the border.
  15. Key takeaway from this map: The border between Venango and Crawford county is a really cool step shape. This is the kind of thing I'm going to have to find out more information about.
  16. Some might melt for sure but when they get a chance to fire up the guns again they will be in a much better place than if they had not done anything over the past day and a half.
  17. Shrimp is gross so if that's the main thing you're putting out in your super spread it's the best way to get myself and people like me to avoid your party. Maybe that's what they were going for there.
  18. We can always ask Blue to install a wet nap dispenser in our row. Maybe a hand sanitizer one too.
  19. The inversion is probably helping them blast above the tree line on easy out
  20. Do they know which of the two vaccines they will be getting?
  21. Depends what they are talking about, but yes sometimes I do.
  22. If I'm not mistaken, those EZ pass readers on highways are how they are able to put the information on the digital signs that say the time to certain points.
  23. Looks like they put more snow down than I expected!
  24. Even with authoritarian measures they can't really stop anything. If the looting and stuff has shown us anything lately its that the grasp that the police have on the populace is tenuous at best.
  25. the majority of those 100,00 are not near you though.....
