I for one am going to be extremely curious to see the data when it's all said and done, both for the US and globally.

At least not above ground......

If any of them exist they would be in my parents' attic in a box or something but I don't really recall any photo taking when we went up there. It was one of those things that I think you take for granted. Nice day, summertime, let's go ride the alpine slide. At least as a kid I never thought of it as a photo worthy opportunity and I'm not sure my parents did either.

Montage used to have an Alpine Slide too. I used to go there as a kid. That thing was taken out many years before Camelback pulled the plug on theirs.

Take it to the Food Thread! @enjoralas

Check out what some grocery stores in Philly are doing at this point. https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/coronavirus/2-philly-grocery-stores-use-sanitizing-stations-to-keep-carts-clean/2338099/

Now I'm curious if the little corner stores in philly are still open. I'll drive by one on my way home and report back.
-
I guess if they have a drive thru then that would be a determining factor. Some Sheetz could theoretically stay open through such an order.

Best quote from that article: Moreno has been charged with one count of train wrecking, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. So "Train Wreck" is officially against the law. Some of the threads on this site should be charged.

What would OHSA do right now? Their response is to shut it down until you've got the proper PPE. That's not an option here. If a Hurricane was coming would you want OSHA shutting down everyone who wasn't wearing a hardhat and safety glasses while they were frantically trying to board up windows?

Halloween is fun. I don't get all the hype but It's nice to see kids super stoked for a tiny bag of M&Ms and I also typically go to a very fun and over the top party each year.

In my brief experience with hospital supply chain work, there is an issue with overstocking on most things that don't get used. Nearly everything in a hospital has an expiration date from the drugs and saline bags down to surgical gowns and gloves. A reason that the hospitals stock to a predetermined level for each item based on historical need coupled with a safety stock is of course a product of not spending too much money, but also in reducing waste. If a hospital was to stock up on sterilized packaged masks (the packaging is a whole other supply chain issue I have experience with as well) and wait for a pandemic, then when they did their annual inventory it is likely that in a non pandemic year they would run into an expiration date issue and have to get rid of perfectly good gear.

I'm going to hold out until April for mine.

It feels like a lot longer since the ski season shut down, though I guess you're right it's only been 3 weeks.

Yesterday I ran to Giant for some food and there was a girl walking around in a full blown gas mask. I was legitimately startled when I saw her.

No hoagies at wawa? This is exactly when Philly begins to descend into chaos. P.S. I fully expect a post Corona parade in Philly complete with mummers, 24 hours of debauchery and Gritty temporarily taking over William Penn's place on the top of City Hall.

I don't have my finger on the pulse of that market right now, but as far as I can tell trucks are still rolling. There was a capacity crunch before that is being lessened now but in my opinion all the trucks on the road are still busy. 6 months ago there were more loads than there were trucks on a per week basis.

i saw Huey Lewis and the News a few years ago in Delaware. They put on a great show. Kind of sad that seeing them live might be a thing of the past due to Huey's hearing issues. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/huey-lewis-interview-hearing-loss-new-album-944622/

Better get practicing for 2021!

I'll have to try El Charro Negro. El Limon has a ton of locations so I'm not too worried about them.
-
Making me jealous. Maybe I'll have to hit up El Limon for some take out tomorrow. I already had a boring sandwich.

Saw a story on the news where the towns down at the jersey shore were saying exactly that. They don't want the people with vacation homes coming down to avoid the city and clogging up the system down there that can't handle it.

Work is getting slammed right now. Just got another rush order in for cards used for Unemployment.
