The final countdown was played a lot in college for some reason. Unclear as to why

I wonder what it would be like to ski on a clear night under a big super moon with the trail lights off
-
I've got a pair of pants I've been saving for a Gaper Day/80s or 90s themed party so just let me know the day. Hint: They aren't khakis

I'm not at liberty to discuss the dollar figures, but they said it was all but a done deal if I could throw in a "Best Skier on the Mountain" hat.
-
I too checked the place out this past weekend and even made an offer.

This brings up something I occasionally think about. If you were stringing together a series of "trails" here in the Pocono region, what is the longest top to bottom route you could make? For example at Montage I used to start at the top of the Shuttle lift in front of the lodge, wind down Easy Street, come out of that with speed and cut up and over the bunny slope, down the unnamed path past the Iron Horse lift, down Lower Runaway, cut over to lower fast track, then come down across the bottom and end at Phoebe Snow.

Some quick thoughts about yesterday. Snow was OK Food was amazing We severely underestimated the weight of a compact car Don't knock luxury men's slippers until you've tried them.

Must be the microclimate

Welcome to PASR!!! Montage is awesome, even though I'm a blue regular now it will always be a special place for me since that's where I learned to ride and went for so many years. Look forward to more Montage reports!!

The light really sucks early on, but in a few weeks after Daylight Savings it'll be a little better.

When you've got a pass at Montage you don't have to worry about getting your runs in before the hoards descend upon the place on the weekends so you don't mind putting in a 4 hour session with the slower lifts. Not to mention you can explore a lot more and I'm sure the guys who went to Elk know what I'm talking about here, there's something to be said to know you're the only one around and it's nice and quiet.

They don't have the specter of their mountain closing looming over their heads like we do in PA. We are kind of happy to see a few buses pulling in at 11 am on a Saturday because we know it'll put a few bucks in the pocket of Barb and pay all the bills to keep our little slice of heaven going. If I was a local at Jackson Hole and knew that the mountain wasn't going anywhere regardless of how many people were there then yeah I would probably get a little annoyed with the tourists too.

I thought it was called Coming Soon.

Would have shortened my jog into the lodge last weekend.
-
I could be convinced to make an appearance.

I'm a big Buffett Fan. I've been to Camden to see him a few times though Camden is conspicuously absent from the tour schedule so far for this summer.

Crowlers are where it's at. I'm kind of over the whole growler thing at this point. It's getting stupid expensive and the quality isn't there.
-
I also thought it was silly but I got one for Christmas and my mom kept asking how I was liking it so I decided to stop lying and actually use it one night. Well I guess it's true that your mom is usually right.

My Frost guard changed the game. Toss it on, throw on the mirror covers and just kick back and don't worry about any of that scraping nonsense.

I was really critical of the break even point and all that before I bought my pass last year but after you get it the sense of freedom you get is worth much more than breaking even on lift tickets.

That flight radar is pretty cool. I've been playing with it a little bit tonight. I'm also a big fan of https://www.marinetraffic.com/ . I feel bad for anyone that gets diverted to Harrisburg. You land in Middletown where I used to live which has exactly nothing in it. OK there was one decent brewery and a Sheetz. But that's it. The cool thing about living near the Harrisburg airport was watching the planes. That airport was originally built as an Air Force Base and still has a little Air Force presence. They also have a decent sized cargo plane program for FedEx and UPS. The coolest thing about the airport there was the fact that it's proximity to DC, the relatively low traffic in and out and the fact that it houses an air base meant that Air Force 1 was a regular sight in the skies above town. They used to fly to Harrisburg to practice touch and gos which were awesome to watch from the cell phone lot of the airport right next to the fence.

They post them on Facebook.

That's rough man. Hope you're OK to get back on the horse ASAP.

You could not be any more wrong.

A few flakes coming down now but nothing is sticking in Hatfield.
