  1. Welcome to PASR!!! Montage is awesome, even though I'm a blue regular now it will always be a special place for me since that's where I learned to ride and went for so many years. Look forward to more Montage reports!!

The light really sucks early on, but in a few weeks after Daylight Savings it'll be a little better.
  3. When you've got a pass at Montage you don't have to worry about getting your runs in before the hoards descend upon the place on the weekends so you don't mind putting in a 4 hour session with the slower lifts. Not to mention you can explore a lot more and I'm sure the guys who went to Elk know what I'm talking about here, there's something to be said to know you're the only one around and it's nice and quiet.
  4. They don't have the specter of their mountain closing looming over their heads like we do in PA. We are kind of happy to see a few buses pulling in at 11 am on a Saturday because we know it'll put a few bucks in the pocket of Barb and pay all the bills to keep our little slice of heaven going. If I was a local at Jackson Hole and knew that the mountain wasn't going anywhere regardless of how many people were there then yeah I would probably get a little annoyed with the tourists too.

I thought it was called Coming Soon.
  6. Would have shortened my jog into the lodge last weekend.
  7. I could be convinced to make an appearance.
  8. I'm a big Buffett Fan. I've been to Camden to see him a few times though Camden is conspicuously absent from the tour schedule so far for this summer.
  9. Crowlers are where it's at. I'm kind of over the whole growler thing at this point. It's getting stupid expensive and the quality isn't there.
  10. I also thought it was silly but I got one for Christmas and my mom kept asking how I was liking it so I decided to stop lying and actually use it one night. Well I guess it's true that your mom is usually right.
  11. My Frost guard changed the game. Toss it on, throw on the mirror covers and just kick back and don't worry about any of that scraping nonsense.
  12. I was really critical of the break even point and all that before I bought my pass last year but after you get it the sense of freedom you get is worth much more than breaking even on lift tickets.
  13. That flight radar is pretty cool. I've been playing with it a little bit tonight. I'm also a big fan of https://www.marinetraffic.com/ . I feel bad for anyone that gets diverted to Harrisburg. You land in Middletown where I used to live which has exactly nothing in it. OK there was one decent brewery and a Sheetz. But that's it. The cool thing about living near the Harrisburg airport was watching the planes. That airport was originally built as an Air Force Base and still has a little Air Force presence. They also have a decent sized cargo plane program for FedEx and UPS. The coolest thing about the airport there was the fact that it's proximity to DC, the relatively low traffic in and out and the fact that it houses an air base meant that Air Force 1 was a regular sight in the skies above town. They used to fly to Harrisburg to practice touch and gos which were awesome to watch from the cell phone lot of the airport right next to the fence.
  14. They post them on Facebook.
  15. That's rough man. Hope you're OK to get back on the horse ASAP.
  16. You could not be any more wrong.
  17. A few flakes coming down now but nothing is sticking in Hatfield.
  18. Harsh. I was just trying to post for the likes
  19. Can I get 10% off of next year's pass by using my season pass discount?
  20. The classic trench vs ditch. At least I'm not digging them all day.
  21. Just because there are no sausages doesn't mean @enjoralas isn't coming to play skis
  22. Were you there on Sunday? Was looking for you but clearly never found you.
  23. On Saturday they were running gates on the lower half, I never venture up to the top part of it, but it wasn't closed. You could still scoot down the skiers left side
  24. Not a bad day. Falls got cookied up by 10 or so, Didn't touch Challenge because it looked rough. Main Street might have been run of the day, just smooth and grippy. Switchback was really good too, It might be my favorite trail so far on skis as I can really let myself go on that one and I'm feeling like I can lean into some big sweeping turns there and just let the trail do the work while I pick up some decent speed. Weird thing I noticed the past two days, while the snow all over the mountain has been pretty consistent and it's the same stuff (just depends on cookies) I took a few runs yesterday and today over to the bottom part of Widowmaker and then to the Chute and Midway. The snow on these three was that chalky stuff that squeaks underfoot and at least on the headwall of Midway it was pretty deep, maybe 4 inches of that stuff on top of the hardpack. Was really strange but kind of fun to mess around on.
  25. You guys are killing it out there. Awesome pics and it looks like a hell of a pow day.
