Elk always claims to plant hundreds of trees per year. I want to see the receipt for all 600 trees and I want to see each of them numbered up on the mountain.

Impressive mowing, and I appreciate the fact that you did a perimeter cut as well. Cleans things up and covers up and imperfections at the end of each line. Also you're clearly on top of things by mowing in multiple directions. A lot of people mess that one up. What kind of mower do you use? I'm getting the vibe that you're a Toro guy, possibly zero turn.

I would love to do some landscaping. For some reason cutting grass, edging, trimming all of that is extremely relaxing to me. Plus when it looks great at the end there's a nice sense of satisfaction. I miss cutting my own grass now that I'm in an apartment complex.

Obviously he walks the 4 miles back to the shop and leaves the truck running.

I prefer the BBQ truck that is in the parking lot. Much higher quality.

Less than 3 months until we realistically will get some available turns. I'm getting pumped.

What would a PASR train day entail? Going to Steamtown National Historic site? Or just hopping on SEPTA and riding back and forth for a few hours?

How awesome would weeknight skiing be if the sun was still up until 9? The lack of sunlight is getting noticeable and it definitely sucks. I think the worst part is turning on lights in the morning before work.

There are some decent restaurants in and around KOP and I'm not sure that Fox and Hound makes the top 15

Yep. Size 12 in a snowboard boot. So it's going to be a journey to get a pair of decent ski boots. I might need a pair of beater skis to get my feet wet on since I have no idea what kind I should buy for myself. No need to dislike. I'll always be a snowboarder. I'm just broadening my horizons. I'm going to grab some new snowboard boots this year too. So I'm not making a 100% switch. My plan is to start on a board in the morning, rip with you fine folks for a while and then switch gear after a beer in the lot and teach myself how to ski for a while. I sincerely doubt that anyone on here is willing to go as slow as it would take to actually hang with me on skis.

Was out hiking at a small state park near me on Saturday. Trail gave way to roads quickly so I left to explore more spots and wound up at Ursinus. Then I realized I was close to Salter's so I headed down there to check out some boots. Turns out that the ski part of the place is closed until at least next month. Bummer. I did get to check out some sweet fireplaces though. Had no idea they were so damn expensive.

Shopping around for ski boots. Might hit up Salters on Saturday to poke around.

Get yourself a pair of Reefs and you'll never look back.

How does one even wear flip flops and socks? The fabric of the sock would prevent the flip flop from properly going between the toes. I hate wearing socks in the summer and honestly unless I'm doing something where I need to run or I'm at work I much prefer my flip flops or my sperrys.

I play in a limited arc league. They make us use wooden bats too.

Softball keeps getting cancelled due to the rain and sloppy fields. Lame.

Tattoos are so common at this point that I feel like the odd man out for not having one. I just can't imagine any image on earth that I like so much that I'll literally never be able to get rid of it. New Page!

Way back in College the Forum/Special Blend guys came to Penn State. We went into 100 Thomas which is a 300+ seat lecture hall with a movie sized screen, watched their latest video, drank a ton of redbull that was being passed out and then there was a huge after party back at the Snowboard Club house. Travis Kennedy sure as hell could drink. I feel super old now.

It's not funny. It's easier to just let it go and scroll past it.

People in Kansas don't have a leg to stand on. How could you be proud of a flat square with no access to hills, the ocean or anything even remotely even exciting. Oh you farm? Cool, so does PA, NJ, NY, and DE. Talk to me when there is a single reason for me to want to go there. I'll wait....

My Girlfriend's family came over to the pool on Saturday and Sunday. He's 8 years old and somehow got "cold" in the pool and then sat on a deck chair and wrapped himself up in a towel. I didn't quite get it.

So no pin at all on these? I was expecting some rebar.

Are the pieces just glued or is there some kind of physical joint involved too? For some reason this piece of granite is incredibly fascinating to me.

How much of that is assembled on site? I can't imagine it would transport well already put together.
