I'm actually interested in making the transition to skis so in a year or so I'll be able to keep up with you guys on two planks.

So I think I figured out what I'll do. Since I missed the boat on a season pass and they are now $599 each (still not terrible I guess) I'm going to get two of the triple play peak ticket packages which will give me 6 weekend days at Blue for $238 (or $39.66 per day). This will also let me hit up Montage occasionally if I go back to Scranton to visit people and such. Then as soon as Blue offers the season pass for next year (hopefully February) I'll snag that and finish off the season.

I like this idea. Arguably worth at least 4 cents.

Admittedly Montage is a little lacking on decent vert and diversity of steep trails and I guess slow lifts but the real key to that place is that you can show up at 10AM on a Saturday and have small lines and untouched snow. Plus, for me at least it's not about the trails there, it's about everything else around them. Hands down my favorite "trail" in PA is starting at the top of White Lightning and finishing at the bottom of Boomer. That little bit of woods is fantastic. And of course you can go in their marked glades and have a damn good time, especially if you blaze your own path and take the trees all the way to the bottom of the mountain.

Where can I get one of these PS&R cards?

I'm on the fence, for the $449 its a no brainer but I had no idea I would be living anywhere near blue. I guess the thing that's holding me back is the fact that it'll mean an hour and 15 minutes up and the same back so that would make me think twice about running up there all the time. I'm used to Montage where I would run over after work for 2 hours and then drive 10 minutes home.

How many times do you guys think it takes to go to blue to make a pass worth it? Note, I'll have like an hours drive up there which is a negative in terms of me considering a pass.

All the pools down this way are closed. I'm shocked that one is still open.

looking like a high of 85 this weekend in the Poconos, exactly the weather I was hoping for on Saturday when I have to wear a tuxedo outside at a wedding.

Every Irma I've ever encountered has meant business.

I met my girlfriend on bumble. Worked out pretty well.

Scratch that, I've got a fantasy football draft at 5 on Sunday and can't do it on Saturday.

Looks like a solid line up of breweries. I might have to snag myself a ticket.

I doubt it. I've never tried it and the waves in OCMD aren't particularly conducive to learning from what my surfer cousin says.

I'm pumped to get down to the beach soon.

I've never shopped at Wick's but it sounds like a sweet place.

Do you guys still do a PASR bar night?

He got a sweet job outside of DC and moved to Virginia. Doesn't get a chance to snowboard much unfortunately but other than that he's doing great. Should be finishing his masters soon. I think I'll see him this weekend actually.

I have to wonder what happened to that Moose suit. It's definitely in some former employee's basement somewhere. I'm getting a little sad now that I'm officially done with final exams and the inevitability of me moving to southern PA is on the horizon. I'm not going to be a Snotage local anymore. I already miss the uncrowded slopes and rolling in at 10 on a weekend and still parking right next to the Phoebe Snow lift and getting fresh tracks out on the fast tracks and runaways.
-
I miss that Moose Logo. I think I still have a park pass from the Sno days that had that logo on it.

I had no idea that the blue route had such an interesting history. Traffic does suck. I'm not used to it being a major factor in every day life.

So she currently lives in Chalfont and complains about 309 but as of now I guess it works for her. Shes adamant about not using the northeast extension to get to work.

Great to hear from you guys, thanks for the warm wishes and the advice. I have to be into work around 7:30 every morning and apparently we stay until around 5. On Friday the office closes at 11 so that'll be nice in terms of me getting down to the beach or up for an afternoon session at Blue. I'm pretty concerned about traffic which is why I'm trying to convince my lady friend that we should live closer to where I work rather than where she works because distance will probably mean nothing compared to drive times. Her main concern is being somewhat close to 309 though because spending $3,500 a year on turnpike tolls seems a little unsustainable to her. My best guess is that this will be temporary though. Both of our corporate offices are in center city and from all indications, we will both be getting promoted to HQ within 2 years or so.
