  1. Fine, sounds like our spring conditions. Fresh snow over hard corn in AM, skied to hard pack in the lower mountain by lunch, then slop in the PM. Hard to find the right wax. Generally solves itself in a week.
  2. For that day, I'd use red wax as the general wax, but put some CH4 or at least some green wax along the edges. Make sure your structure is fresh and not all worn down. Given you're not waxing, you've probably let that go as well. If your structure is actually good, then maybe some fluoro is needed, but I usually stay away from that stuff. Sounds like spring conditions. :-(
  3. Now that it's embedded, I can see it. Odd.
  4. Yesterday: Today:
  5. Apparently Montana has seceded. Not allowed to see the content on copyright grounds.
  6. Oddly, there was a skier in one of the pano shots that I used for this, but it was removed when I created the pano. I re-did it, skier still gone. I just looked at that pic, though, and the pano program clearly had an issue with the dude's form. I'm sort of wondering how the guy survived the slope, which is not really shown in this photo. I was in a lesson and they were sort of torked about me stopping to take pictures, so I didn't take any more.
  7. Great views and great snow on Gray's Golf Course.
  8. 100 is a ton of runs. WF has number 20 if I recall. If you're left off it's pretty bad.
  9. Did you get "outed" or something over there?
  10. Yep. Can't say I'd be in a rush to be on that without an inspector after that kind of ravaging.
  11. Today. High winds, but no closed lifts.
  12. A troll or a newb, take your pick, it's great. http://www.epicski.com/t/124734/any-tips/0_10
  13. Whistler also had one. http://globalnews.ca/news/1077094/man-dies-after-falling-into-tree-well-on-whistler-mountain/
  14. No Name. Some windpack, but good stuff.
  15. Apparently they are supposed to mark all 1 million of them.
  16. I've stopped skiing with several friends because they do not watch in the trees. Might as well be by myself. At least then I can choose my own route. Some of these things are six to nine feet deep.
  17. There was another tree well death today. http://www.flatheadbeacon.com/articles/article/skier_dies_in_tree_well_at_whitefish_mountain_resort/37359#.UtH51sEHIPo.facebook
  18. Got 19 days in, only one with fanny flap.
  19. Gee, GSS and Sibby have something in common. Why cut off your circulation? Because the poles are too heavy? I don't see the point of all this gymnastic maneuvering to get on and off the chair. Sit down. Pull down the footrest when everyone has been warned and is ready. Raise. Ski off. Don't see the need for extra jumping around.
  20. Got seven more in the last 24 hours. Eighty inch base. There are no groomers today, it is apparently covering as fast as they groom. And it's supposed to keep on coming into Monday.
  21. All I know is the mountain is supposed to get another one to two feet by Sunday. Woohoo!!!
  22. With you, Doug, any question is possibly serious. I can ignore you or answer you. You should feel privileged when I even read what you've written.
  23. Vail was never even under discussion. Nowhere in Colorado was under discussion. Lake Louise definitely was.
  24. Pics in Good Med.
